DT dmg variance

Hello everyone, i was leveling up and got kinda confused about my DT damage on different enemies: i have around 2.6k ATK and i was doing on average 150k x 2 per dragon tooth on cerberus on ultimate and once i started doing odelon machina my dmg dropped to average 80k x 2 per DT, maybe even lower. Can anyone explain that?

 

Most likely, odelon has high physical resistance that reduces the damage by percentage instead of defense, in which reduces DT damage even though it has 100% physical pierce. That or the proration rate is low. I'm not sure about it

 

1. DT only pierce through Defense, not Resistance
2. Poor proration
3. Probably graze hits

 

Well according to a mini boss defense and resistance chart, iirc odelon has 5% phys resistance. So idk about that

Its always a graze hit, and i what i show is the average dmg due to stability

Proration, well i tested it by doing a lot of autos and then spamming main DT combo, dmg indeed goes up but not higher than 110k x 2. Or im just doing it wrong idk, its hard to prorate without a lot of crit.

 

Its graze, odelon has high evasion so it will automatically nerf your crit damage. On another note I wish our char had that ability where it evasion nerfs boss dmg when they hit that would be cool and interesting for tanks

 

turns out it was graze indeed, but i thought it "only" halved my stability, which i thought that it meant i could either do lower damage or higher damage if it was low, i need to learn more about this stability mechanic i guess

 

odelon has 50% phy resist but cerbrus ult also has some considerable phy resist too, this difference in dmg is indeed graze

 

according to this chart i have found somewhere, odelon has 5% physical resistance (red column). i dont think its so outdated because it has mithurna lynx on it too.

 

Halberd has dive impact that inflict dizzy status for 10 sec.
Dizzy status makes enemy's dodge rate halved. This hb skill could effectively reduce graze rate.
But not many player use this because this is a short ranged skill. And dizzy status has 30 sec cooldown, pretty long.
