DUAL WIELD DPS. :)

Hi Guys! I just want to share my dual wield build for those who are not satisfied with their damage with their DW.

Blade Skills:

Max HARD HIT, ASTUTE, TRIGGER SLASH, WAR CRY.
LVL5 SWORD MASTERY and QUICK SLASH.

Dual Wield Skills:

Max dual sword master, twin slash, dual sword control, god speed, spinning slash.

Survival skills:

LVL 5 SAFE REST.
MAX SOBER ANALYSIS.

I'm not using an Atk MP BUILD. I have only 1 eerie xtal but my MP REGEN is high and i can spam a combo.

HIT>combo Skill>Hit>combo skill>hit>combo skill.

There is a secret there. It's not a bug or a cheat. lol Look it up in your skills and combo.

My combo is:

HARD HIT>ASTUTE>TWIN SLASH>SPINNING SLASH>TRIGGER SLASH.

Combo is kinda long but I have no problem soloing some bosses like ooze and ganglef. It all depends on your style of fighting actually.

 

are you referring to consec or save?

 

imo, combo is too long, by the time you execute the full combo, its either you'd have evaded an attack that breaks your combo chain, or you get hit by an attack.
the best way to test if your combo on a dw is good is by testing it solo in dgate, if you can execute a full combo after evading a redzone and not getting targeted by the next redzone attack. the combo is good.

try splitting your combo into two.

don't mash all 5 skills in to a single combo unlike the 2h class where they mash like 5 skill into it.

 

it's long but it's fast. I'm having no problem using this combo. If you you know when the boss will hit you, then you have no problem executing this combo.

 

consecutive combo.

 

if you want to keep it short, remove spinning slash.

 

I'm not having any problem with 5 skills in my combo. But can be shortened into 4.

 

As I've said, I have no problem with my combo. :3 I think it just depends on our play style. And I am very satisfied with my DPS.

 

I hate to be mean, but reading this thread sounds like an echo chamber. People bring in valid points to what could be done to improve the combo and the only response is "I have no issues". Firstly, I have no issues, is purely anecdotal; you may not have issues but other people may. The point of the discussion is not on what you think, we know what you think of the combo you told us, it is for us to discuss it on what we think to possibly find a discovery. Please understand this.

 

Everyone's definition of DPS is the same. but they don't understand the difference of being a Nuker and a DPS.

Being a Nuker DW is hitting 25k combos with Astute Twin HH/ Trigger, (Trigger if you decide to get it, which most DWs leave out) combo every once in a while. -> this is what everyone is building right now with full cdmg cdmg% items. But note, this build makes you rely too much on mp and makes you regen mp slow or rely too much on mp charger every once in a while.

Being a DPS Dw. is doing 10k combos in quick succession, using low mp combos that hit hard and uses a smite combo every once in a while to maximize damage. Relying heavily on ampr to regenerate. but note, if you dont take trigger, you dont get any increased ampr unless you go full ampr build, which makes you lose out on utility xtals like mauez, roga, and offensive xtals like ooze bd dmash ganglef.

 

To much of a big combo I think for a dw. The problem is how are you going to be able to restore your Mp fast?
What ring do you use and how much MP does your build have? What swords do you recommend and what armor?

Bd crown or magic scarf + sroar
