Dual wielder's "Assassin mode" guide

Hello guys, this is Ash Roux and I would like to share my current (Working in progress) dual wielder hybrid build.
This build focuses on absorbing fatal damage from bosses.(ex: Masked Warrior's rampage etc.) this build has a lot of potential, especially if your party has a negative aggro stats or you yourself have aggro+%. This build is just my current personal favorite playstyle for dual wielder as of now.

First, you need to achieve 1,100 attack speed stats. (1,100 attack speed stats is enough to get rid of your normal attack's intervals.) also, making it permanent to 1,100 attack speed without using any buffs (mega, giga speed pots) is better in my opinion.

*take note that in level 100, 35 agility is more than enough to make your attackspeed 1,100. Thanks to dual wield control and godspeed skill from the Dual wield skill tree.)

Then go full dex once you're done on the interval thingy.

Now for the skill choice. *I have a 142 total of skill points at level 100 now* This is very critical and needs to be done perfectly.

Hard Hit: 5
Astute:10 (your combo starter)
Dual sword mastery: 10
Twin slash: 5
Spinning slash: 5
Phantom slash: 10 (your main damage)
Cross parry: 5
Charging slash: 5
Shadowstep: 7 (your combo ender)
Dual sword control: 10 (needs to be level 10 for +agility)
Godspeed: 10 (needs to be level 10 for +attack speed)
Safe rest: 5
HP boost: 10 (for 1,000 increase hit points)
Fighter's High: 10 (Ignore this)
Magic: Arrows: 5
Magic: Javelin: 5
Magic: Lances: 5
Magic: Impact: 7 (I'm just abusing the godly utility)
Attack up: 10
Smash: 2
(or Attack up: 5 ,smash: 5 and Crit up: 2)

*take note that these kind of skill setup needs to be done "perfectly" because the amount of skill points is exact.

Combo (Credits to mayurii):

1 mp combo (-10% Phantom slash):

Astute>Impact *Save*>Phantom slash *Smite*>Shadowstep *Cons*

4-5 mp combo (+50% Phantom slash):

*I'm not really sure if this is really a 4 mp combo or a 5 mp combo. I will test this as soon as possible.*

Impact>Phantom slash *Smite*>Shadowstep *Cons*

*take note that this is your best damage source, but it takes practice on when to execute this and when to not.

(The purpose of this build is to be able to "abuse" phantom slash's invulnerability and trigger Fighter's high's full potential.) ignore this.

You can spam the 1 mp combo, Initial usage of the combo is weaker compare to your next 1 mp combo because shadowstep boosts your 2nd combo starter which is Astute. Yep, you heard it right, that overpowered best 1 mp skill. For me, Astute is the strongest raw 1 mp skill in the game. But this is just for my personal thoughts.

This build needs practice and boss' knowledge in order to use it for its full potential. What I mean is, you should understand boss' movement on when they're about to cast their fatal damage. This build is the true "Manual dodging build"

This build can be a tank too. Just wear your hero scarf, shadowstep like a hero, let the Phantom slash absorb all the damage. (even the fatal ones too!)

This specific build is not for attacker rank tho. Hope this build helps.

*Edited: I removed Fighter's High from this build due to some contradicting complications.*

(Now we still have 10 skill points. We can max Critical up from 2 points to 10 points and Attack up from 5 points to 7 points.)

Yes it is possible. But it's hard for me for now to beat 2 handed mains, snipers and swordfu for now. It is because of my gears. It is not complete yet. Hehe ~meow

 

I was using a pytho, b.b garb, war helm, dex talis no xta back then XD

 

Wait, can't be attacker?
I got attacker multiple times against a lvl 100 Snipe in MW, Attacker Rank against 3 mages in Forestia Ultimate, and attacker against an archer, snipe and mage in Pgolem on its initial release.

 

The Dual Wielding Jedi has spoken!

But still, it depends on your gear and your performance on that round. Whilist to say that there are infinite possibilities that everyone can get rank 1 attacker, even with this Dual Wield build.

If I'm planning to remake my dw (again), I might look at this and some confirmed guides about DWs.

Nice! I just started playing around DW and still collecting CPs I was planning to use the usual long combo:
Astute-Twin Slash(smite)-Shadow Step(save)-Trigger Slash(consecutive)-Impact(consecutive)-Phantom Slash(smite)

But imma test out your shorter combo sometime :3

I just edited it senpai @Cypherian, to be more specific. hehe ~meow I wish they buff DW. yes attacker rank for me is possible, but when I'm with a character with the same level as me and built properly, It's getting more difficult. Ive been studying my DW builds and have focused more on Synergy with other builds.

Like how a DW copes up being in a PT with Bruisers, Casters, Tankers, Spammers, and the Combo-savvy.

I thank my guildies, former and current for this.

Ill also be digging on how other skills outside Blade and Dual Sword Tree affect DWs.

 

Really appreciate your comment a lot @BK. I just personally think that It's better for me to save my skill points for better use because of the fact that I can get +% dex from player crafted weapon/armor. but I really appreciate your comment alot. tee hee ~ meow

 

35 points into agi for some dodge and sub damage and aspd rather than invest 10 to 15 points for Quickslash is better imo. But thats just me.

 

You're into some deep analysis now. I like how you think outside the box and post the best playstyles for our fellow toram players, especially, for Dual wielder mains and the other players who wants to create dual wielder. Sharing information is always good. Hehe ~meow

 

Hehe, yes me too, Skill points>Stat points for me. Always. But that doesn't mean that I will waste my stat points for nothing. It'll not go to waste. Stat points will just fill the gap to save more skill points for better usage. ~meow
