while waiting for the summoning circle to be complete :x, I believe it's like an active skill, you have to activate it (cross-parry) and the next hit from the monster that hits you will be parried. Not sure about the reduction and all, but I think there was another thread on that. Oh, it tumbles too I think at a certain chance.

PS. I don't actually have cross-parry, but I heard around from others on how it works.

    Cross parry is a counterattack.
Once set, cross parry will reduce the damage of the next hit that lands on you and deal your base Crit Damage to the mon in return with a chance to cause a tumble.

For the most part, it looks like an attack unless you have high Eva and reflex going.

Its an okay skill, but not worth investing in atm. Focus on getting Eva to 66% and flee to 600 before taking cross parry.

    Lol
Yeah reflex is good but only with a high Eva (38%+) and Gloria.
    So
    Light Armor Mastery 10
    Gloria 10
    Reflex 10

    Mole Eyes add
    2 tomahawks
    Dex ring II

Tomahawks... How much stability should i aim for to compensate... Would a total of 70% be ok?

Don't bother. The next highest is Sword of Sin at 60+ atk and 80% stab.
So 140+ and 40% stab of toma still has higher damage by Mean (about the same as a 70+/80%) but it has a much higher possible damage. So dot is even higher (like an 80+/80%).
So focus getting on a crit+2 xtal or 2, a forestia/roga/arcoinis, and a forest wolf.
Another paired set is Arcoinis and astol, to think about.
Astol is nice if you can cancel the negative so vita cores or Arcoinis are good counters.

    Oh One other thing:
In genenal, dw's excessively high Aspd and Eva capabilities are balanced by low Def/mdef, the fact that you must spend 10 skill points to cancel out the dual weild penalty, and never having a real chance at high hp. DW is not a middleground. Its an extreme. So keep that in mind.
Musashis become kings of Eva and spd, magiknights have the highest Cspd in the game and are kings of the aoe combo chains, both are glass cannons in exchange.

One way to counter the horrible stability and the generally lower atk (by comparison to 1h/dagger & 1h/arrow) is to look towards crit xtals and agi200/crit200/dex60 as as option instead of agi200/dex200/crit60.
The enhanced and more frequent crits will raise overall dot, dps, and burst of "first attacks". Adding sword tech and Warcry is another mid/late game option, with sword tech adding burst and Warcry adding dps.

For magiknights, look to the lvl 4 magic skills. One should be "Drain". Also, the magic battle skills should get maxed. That chance to get a magic "crit" from the second one is very useful and more likely than any other caster due to your aoe combo chain.

You would sacrifice everything good about the class to don heavy armor and have good Def/MDef?

    A few things:
    1. Any class which relies on Dex should not choose heavy armor, as you will sacrifice dot.
    2. Any build utilising Aspd should not choose heavy armor, as you will sacrifice dot.
    3. Wearing heavy armor kills Eva rate.
    4. The only advantages of DW are Eva and Aspd.
There is a heavy mu. But I have tested it to lvl64. It's not a good subclass until it evens out......at lvl105. Its only viable towards the middle of late game. Until then, the skill reqs are too much to take them and still be good at killing things. Plus the disadvantage of not being able to equip a shield for guard rate & power is not easy to overcome. (You need two 2slot items with full guard equips+xtals and you're still not as well off as a shieldbearer.)

So until late game starts: I'm not posting the build.
