Is your sub attack from your attributes affected by atk% modifiers?

    Good Question...
If you're asking if atk% is added to subhand yes it does.
While it may give you an overall higher dmg don't forget to balance out your other modifiers and stats. Too much of one thing adds less.

I think it's a related... So may I ask if graze affects dw in a different way due to dual wield mechanics?
As far as I know, graze halves stability, but some "very experienced blue dws" actually told me graze reduces CDMG. Is this true? Anyone experienced on dw and testing actually may confirm or deny this?

    Good Question...
Graze affects your lower-end damage. Higher stability means more stable damage.
Say you have 100% stability and you use Twin Slash.
This twin slash hits consistently at 110 your lower-end damage being 100 when proration becomes an issue.
Upon graze, your stability is half. This, in turn, lowers your 100 to say 50-70 (numbers are just being used as an example to understand how graze affects your damage and not the actual formula)
Graze doesn't affect your actual dmg or cdmg it affects your lower-end dmg. Hence you see the dmg reduction when you do graze.
    A) Hit/Accuracy isn't' really viable for us
Especially at newer bosses where their dodge and such is just whacked. There should be a excel sheet that a certain person dumbed showing how dumb the stats are for bosses.
    B) Stability and Max CR is much better
    C) Stability plays a major part in the formulas for DW

    TLDR
Graze lowers your stability, stability, in turn, keeps your lower end and overall damage consistent.

Want numbers ermm @Yunan should have formulas or numbers for you ;D

I read about the details about stability long time ago and dw mechanics recently, I perfectly understand how the formulas works.

What I am really asking if someone really did a test to show those things written on forums are indeed true.

the thing is, why would the dev giving a different treatment to dw? like, i mean, why would someone designing a skill tree that gonna have a whole different damage calculation? The base damage calculation itself already pretty complicated if i should say (from normal people point of view), if they gonna make a different mechanism too for the final damage calculation, it's like they're isnt true to themself (i mean, look at how they almost never changed the base game mechanism, only just the recently guard and evasion, and it took a whole months to implemement)..

TL;DR = your "very experienced blue dws" probably just take the red strings that stability will affect the final damage but he/she/whatever entities is that only stopped till they assume where it affecting. I mean, only people who see the coding who will know the truth.

    ----
As for if someone actually test it, pretty sure only some people actually test it, and pretty sure the guy that shared the knowledge first hand already tested it. But at least I myself tried to calculate my own build and the output is always close to it.
Well, it would be a different matters if your "very experienced blue dws" are actually can look into the game system and suzuki actually changed the calculation at some point in the past (since it's a pretty old knowledge. But suzuki ninja change something troublesome? nah)

There isn't really anything complicated about damage calculation... it's just basic math.

I actually think like you about no point devs ninja changing base damage mechanics, but there is a possibility and that's why I'm questioning some older infos vs "the experience of experienced dw players".

I didn't come for confirmation bias tho, I'm just questioning if someone did such tests recently. I have an idea how I could test it, I just don't have neither a high lvl dw or the required equips to do, so I was searching if someone did such tests recently instead wasting money on a simple test when any dw could do it in few minutes.

pretty sure i've answered it, but seems it's not that clear of an answer. All i can say is that there's someone that tested it in the past, but for the present, i'm doubtful someone actually test it now. I mean, that's one of the very reason some certain guys giving goodbyes to the communities, that most of of people only take what they got and not test it for themself, and demanding these certain guys to kept giving updates

I think what @Insane23 is asking here is that since damage from sub is affected by the sub stability, does graze also half the stability of the sub thereby reducing the damage from the sub, which will in turn reduce the total damage.

I don't thing graze will affect the sub stability so your dmg will not be reduced.

If you're talking about the average damage, its (stability+100%)/2 so if you have 100% stability your average damage would be 100%, but if you graze you will have jalf stability making it 150%/2=75% damage on average. I don't know a single thing about DWs subhand tho. It's just how damage related to stability works in general.

for dw, their skill dmg is calculated by
dmg from main + dmg from sub*sub stability
    sub stab= sub sword stab/2 + str*0.06 + agi*0.04 + stab from equipts

so i thought you were asking about that
