So would you use tech or str? For success?

 

Exactly why I said Scale. FW and BD also count since its all from one boss. Just need the cloth and metal to make it :v

 

You'd use STR because of the potential. You're just gonna have to yolo til you can stock up on Tech or dex for blade smithing (depending on OHS an THS)

 

Str increases chances of success (10str = +1% success) not sure about higher from base atk.

Eh... dex raises success afaik.
Str would just raise the potential of OHS (+1 per 10) THS (+1 per 5) and i beleive bows (+1 per 10)

 

That's what I thought !). But sometimes you hear these new things

 

Dex and tech unlike Str increases success rate indirectly by increasing your diff (6dex = 1diff, 2tech = 1diff) success rate is directly proportional to the difference between your diff and the item's diff so if your prof is the same as the item lvl of the gear you are crafting 6dex would be +1% success rate and 2tech would be 1% success rate.

Str does increase success rate it was proven by a member of dopr by crafting 1000shortswords. For str bs they would automatically gain the stat but for other bs int/vit bs its no good to add str as tech only needs 2points while str needs 10points. But for custom weapon/armor yeah you can have stat like dex+12 and str+10 for better success.
