    Depends what you mean by "make up". Astute is a dps skill, yes.
    But low damage affects every attack, even spin slash.

    Honestly, brawlers and archers make a LOT better luck hybrids.

    Yes luck improves evasion. I already explained it a few days ago. I'm just gonna plagiarize myself. Lol.

    There is no stat besides luck which increases Eva chance.

    That being said.

    Lets say you have a equips with these Eva stats:

    +10% Eva
    +3% Eva
    +5% Eva
    +6 Eva
    +5 Eva
    And Eva up maxed at 10
    Without luck stat; your total is 33%.
    (10+6+5+10)×1.05×1.03

    With luck stat at 200 (50%); your total is:

    Highest Eva stat: 10%
    Plus
    Eva up (10%)
    Plus flat stats
    +6 & +5
    Plus Eva% stats
    +3% & +5%
    Then luck

    Inotherwords:
    (((10+10)+(6+5))×1.05×1.03×1.5
    For a total of 51%

    Your highest Eva equip substat (whether % or flat) is considered your base, flat stat. Eva up is not counted as it's not a substat.

    Really liking this guide :) I posted on my guide not to make a swordie with mage skills, but i guess i'll be making one XD


    Oh and btw, I tried increasing my int first to 40+ and dex is on 15 so that I could kill mobs faster for faster farming. Could this be an option then try to keep up dex and agi. (im using the magiknight build)

    Also, I'm trying your musashi build.. and I kinda needed attack so i invested 5 points on att up for battle skills. Would that affect late game? Disadvantage or advantage?

    I see, but I was wasn't referring to astute's damage i was referring to its crit buff effect. I'm trying to make a speed type (that dodges/evades) im fine without damage for now.
    I was thinking of making up for it with a hybrid combo in the future (spinning slash> astute> twin slash> triple kick on consecutive for 100 mp), it will take awhile
    That's also why I was asking about agi/luck build, maybe if level cap is high enough ill put the rest into dex.

    Int/dex is the magiknight.

    200 int/200dex (50 agility)

    +20 mp, +450 Atk, +800 MAtk,
    MDef +20, +120 hit,
    +220 aspd, +620 cspd, +100 flee
    ________________________________________

    In all, it's nice to keep them at 4:4:1
    This gives the largest benefit in cspd, aspd, etc. Your attacks deal less damage at first, but by lvl50, you even out for the better. You'll rarely ever flinch and that was the goal. As for battle skills, nah. You're good.

    Thanjs for the reply. Int is on 57 and im catching my dex up 30+ now. I'll probably even them out. Then work out how much agi I should add.

    Shadow, going with the Astute crit buff is okay, but try to get lots of crit rate and crit damage subs on equips and xtals then.

    This. Is. AWESOME!!!

    I never thought you can cast magic skills with swords. Liking this guide much more. Great job. And btw, maybe you could update the skill build of magicknight with the Storm skill (and other skills you may find useful)

    how come you got 120 stat on level 32? im confused. im level 46 i still got 119 stats

    I'll update it soon after next cap raise.

    And coyote, you get bonus stat and skill points from emblems. For instance, lvl 65 gives Your account 5 stat points. And hitting 10 on skills gives 1 skill point per each time you do it on same char.

    1 for first skill maxed, 1 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd, etc.,.

    Best thing to to do is just make a char, take dw tree and max everything in tree. Then delete the char. You'll get like 15 emblem skills for that. Stats are the same way. 10 and 100 attacker rewards, tank, die, aid, support, breaker. There's 12 right there.

    Do u have to buy lvl 2 dw skill to get the emblems? Or just max all skills on lvl 1

    @Mugami i havent totally get yet. but i will eventually. thanks for answering im currently playing magiknight its good in farming but i really hate it when it flinch. im level 35 now. what would you suggest to prevent flinch? thanks

    Not to hijack the thread and I hope mugami can test or confirm this. That cat has some serious skills at figuring shiz out...

    I have found stability doesnt just add to physical weap amalgamization, but also to flinch resist if you would.

    I was hating flinch as well and ive noticed that if i use a vita core which grants stability vs using a diff magic device i flinch far less when hit by an enemtly mob.

    That aside, the only thing I can suggest is agi or evasion stack up so you simply are not hit.

    I have however at op, noticed using a vita core i take waaaaay less flinches than with say a metal wing or an ooze staff.

    @Spaz Just to check with you, you are not equipped with heavy armor and/or heavy armor mastery right? Because those 2 will proc Guard and mitigate flinch and tumble rates.

    @Coyote As what Spaz has mentioned, increase your evasion rates to avoid getting hit. Get light armor mastery and equip light armor with eva% gears to have evasions proc more significantly. Don't forget to max Godspeed as well.

    On topic wise.... i dont have aolid numbers for ya bro but I did do an agi 147 luk 50 dual sword. I capped out reflex and loght armor prof and used my aqua boss harb s forestia with a fw cape ns and magi tali 2 s ooze.

    I found evade did not proc enough to be useful.

    Against certain mobs it never procd. Against certain bosses it never procd. Against ithers i could get an almst 90% uptime. My flee was also sitting around 450 and that failed as noted above alot.

    Notable.mobs: Smasks
    Almost zero evades. Rare flee vs special uncommon flee vs normal.attack
    Minotaur boss: 1 in about 20 fights on both
    Decal same
    Volg: evades 30% flee 75
    Mochello same as volg
    Ooze no evades flee about 30%

    No hard data to corroborate. Best guess is bosses and certain mobs have evade vs hit chance.

    Spin slash damage vs mobs, initial at rank 1 was anywhere from 600 to 1100 then add the small numbers at 25 to 35. Crit applies to all ss dmg.

    Again no hard data to test just observations.

    I dont use heavy armor on my chars. I run multiple reset mage and ds chars and heavy does nothing since that oromotes guard. I run my mages as dead cant hurt me and my ds as avoid. Akways light. I have 2 armors i use. Blacksmith crafted ooze s mp100 and boss aqua s forestia. Both light modified.

    Side note. I find this guide useful. I used it as a baseline for a few of my chars reincarnations.

    @Spaz What's your total +eva%?
    Because when I equipped npc-crafted light Ooze armor + Mirror Shield (eva+10%) for my 1H without Agi stat, , evasion procs quite well when fighting normal mobs. Evasion also procs in fights against Forestia and Astol.

    Edit: @Spaz Take note of mobs and bosses which can dish out magical normal and/or aoe attacks. Magical attacks CANNOT be evaded. Also take note of fractional damage. I'm not sure whether fractional attacks can be evaded as well.

    On the char I used (deleted now). I went dual sword 147 agi 50 luk. This should have by if i mathed right been around 14% base luk on ops post.

    I then used dual sos. Fw cape ns and reflex 10 (dw skill) light armor and light armor prof (inc eva of light armors) at 10.

    I also was running light smithed aqua garb s forestia (forestia gives an additional 5% evade)

    While I did not have every piece of evasion gear avail equipped... i found i would evsde around ns and ss... warmonger.... dodge volgs attacks for miss probably 80% and evade about 40%....

    My conclusion after many many runs because i was farming mats was evasion at 50 luk and that gear setup... did not proc enough to be useful....it was still too random.

    Maybe adding an xtal armor and a few otber things could boost it, but I was simply too squishy to take more than a few hots and rely on flee and evade.

    My conclusion was it is not viable as tank... yet.... that may change in the future however.

    The ds spin slash for me was in 600 white to 1100 crit then degenerates to 35 white crit 45.

    Ds aoe however is not IMHO to be used stationary. You drop it. Move out of it re drop move out drop move back to original position re drop.

    At least that is how I use it. I use it as a lure, not a stand there and spam it like a mage wall.
