First time class

So I heard you need to use OP class first for MQ and farming to unlock 4th tier skill and to get a lods of spina and gears. Then you can pick whatever you want. But what should I choose? Halberd and Katana are very good for newbie I heard. But someone also recommended me a Mage. Is bow newbie friendly too? Or should I just stick to my planned offensive sword&shield?

 

It really depends on your playstyle, I for one am not a big fan on short-ranged offensive, I started with a support mage as main and didn't have much problem leveling up, I'm almost at cap btw.

If sword and shield is your thing, go for it. Take into account also, if you plan on going solo or party.

 

I usually goes solo most of the time. I'm clumsy and have very bad motor control. So I tend to use long range class in my previous mmo to keep distant from mob.

 

Really recommend bow since the lvl 3 skill "snipe" Is probably the strongest and the most effective skill to lvl until 150. Mage char will have a hard time since u said that u usually goes solo. The mp recovery is average and u could do an armor break ailment and help ur party to deal more damage.

Personally, I used bowgun shield to go to lvl 150 just because I hate dying and shield gave me an extra survivability.

 

status ailments, especially Armor Break, breaking parts and Guard Break do NOT contribute to breaker rank at all.
it is entirely proration based.

 

Use snipe with war cry of struggle(Halberd tree), have your hp halved and keep sniping with ocassional auto attacks. It's always better to party up with others instead of going solo in term of actual leveling speed. Possibly, best kind of leech for your party, no unnecessary mob from multi hit skills, could prorate from long range, amror break debuff for your party and deals decent damage

i dunno what all those r but kirito isnt the one who made dw lol all rpg have dw and i think its nice how fast and agile they r in all rpg with good dmg just give it a try and maybe u would have fun

 

Start with archer

Get sunrise arrow and traps from hunter skill tree omce you reach lvl 20

Sunrise arrow will be your main damage dealer until you reach lvl 70 where you can get snipe

Sunrise arrow is pretty OP... next to snipe as long as you can put your opponent to sleep via sleep trap.

Once you reached level 70

Reset your skills

Get snipe from bow and magic impact from mage

 

Aren't DWs in Toram mostly called Kirito because of that time when every DW user wanted the Killer Coat so they could be their very own Kirito? Aye, the weeabo feels.

 

I'm surprised Bow is the most popular here. I'm expecting Halberd or probably Mage or katana. Since many people recommend that classes. But not even a single vote for Halberd.

 

HB, I understand. But why would you recommend Mage to someone who has yet to have access to T4 skills?

EDIT: Nvm, forgot that farming mobs with storm is also possible, but not as fast.

 

Here is my thought:

Bow used Snipe as dps skill which will inflict arm break (lower target def). This is the reason why ppl choose bow on the poll.
Mage used storm,which in return will attract lot of unwanted mobs. You don't want to waste time by clearing mobs.
Katana used Hasso and Zantei as main dps skill. Hasso hits wide area but has less dmg than Zantei but, executing smited zantei is difficult for newcomers.
Halb used Strike stab i think. Dunno why newb didn't used it (Probably because you need 100 crit to actually hit something)
Tank is good since everyone need tank in their pt, but are you sure if you know what are you doing and some important mechanic as tank?

Probably the worst class to begin as newb is knuck and sword classes since their main dps skill is only on lv4.
I had to carry one of my guildmate ass because he started as 2hs

Oh i almost forgot

Once you reach lvl 70

Create another character ... a mage so you can access storm

You can use it to farm items like nectar

Mass mobs, more revitas or spinas or production materials to proc

Well for starters bow. Since you only need a bow and an arrow and be buck naked till you reach lvl 70. Also the fact that it have low potion consumtions and decent damaging skills with high mobility. *cough* moeba *cough* is good for someone who have a bit of a knack in rpg in general, but first timer in toram. (If you are dumb enuf to mess up the stats the effects of the debuff arrows can compensate a bit for that)

 

Bow if u want to grind boss/miniboss. Snipe is the most useful/simplest tier 3 skill for new player (or not so new player). Also, bow didn't need to reset after tier 4 is available as snipe is still used unlike most other class IIRC.
Halberd if want to grind mob to 150. This are viable now as newer map provide mob to level 150+.
Tank is good, but you will need good grasp on mechanic and boss pattern.
