Just wanted to share an idea I have had in mind for a while now:

    GENERIC 100% Crit Formula
    25 (base) + 21 (fc17 arm) + 30 (shaved ice/gesp 2 xtal) + 14 (lvl 6 crit food) + 5 (lvl 10 Crit Up skill) + 5 (any ring with Bexiz xtal) = 100% Crit

It means you can now achieve 100% crit WITHOUT needing any crit stats on your weapon, sub or even any personal crit stat.

For weapon/sub you can now focus on pure DPS stats (a7cd7cd17), or even any other key focus stat such as low aggro (i.e. mom fluck boss drop weapons) or high phys pierce (calamity rose 1h boss drop).

You can also freely use this gear setup to try out any (physical) class build you fancy, without needing to spend too much more spina on a whole new set of gear to cater for your new build~ :D
Sorry, if you don't have crit food unlocked, OR any friends/guildies with crit food, OR the food level is not high enough, then the above Generic Crit Gear setup will not work for you...
Luckily, there are additional skills available to further boost your crit:
    Katana: +10 (lvl 10 Two-Handed skill)
HB: +6 (lvl 10 Crit Spear Skill)
    2H: +5 (lvl 10 Two-Handed skill)
DW: +2 (lvl 10 Dual Sword Master & Control skills)
These crit skills would allow you to use a lower level crit food to meet 100% crit

Also, if you are lucky enough to have crit on avatars stats, than that would work too!

Failing all of the above, the final exception to this generic crit gear setup... would be to use weapons (or sub-weapon even) with crit stats! But that defeats the purpose of my post... ;)

I hope this little guide serves as a useful eye-opener for anyone looking to enjoy multiple (physical) weapon classes in this game with minimal re-gearing. Sure, you may not be the best of each class, but it should be strong enough (depending on the refine+xtals on your main weapon of course), to have some fun with it.

Don't forget to be super nice to your local Crit chefs friends/guildies and shower them with gifts to show your appreciation for their time invested on this key stat buff!

Yeah i did that before but Astute takes extra time with an extra tick of proration (and what if ur astute misses in the 1st place...?) Also Berserk is great for never needing speed pots, but that stability and drop in defense can be problematic. Also both these skills have a time duration. So I'm moving away from them completely on my own 2h build (though i may keep berserk around for crit resist bosses).

25 base +5 from crit up +5 from twohanded +15 from armor and use berserk +50 for 2h:)

Defence is not a problem while using berserk it doesn't drop a lot
