    Good Afternoon,

I started playing a few days ago and having a great time. Not sure what I'm doing half the time. I run around swinging a sword hoping for the best. Silly realizations: I've been playing the main quest but didn't realize I could do other quests in Sofya City. I still don't know what MP means, but I'm always running out of it....fast.

    A few questions:

    1. I was looking through all the armor and weapons on the marketplace. Is equipment limited by level? I really like the look of the Bark Mail, but being only level 30, not sure if I can actually use it.

    2. Do pets help in combat?

    3. I'd like to learn how to be a tank. So I've been focusing on VIT and a little bit of DEX. Is that correct?

    4. Any advice or recommendations? I enjoy feedback.

Wishing you all the very best,

    Pickley

    1. None of the equipment in this game is level locked. If you can obtain an item, you can use it.

    2. Kinda, but they're not necessary. Pets aren't good at doing damage, so they mostly play supportive roles. Pest can also be tanks, but making a pet tank takes a lot of work and they aren't as effective as actual player tanks.

    3. Tanks and DPS characters have more difference in this game than in others, and because of that, a full tank or a full DPS isn't generally the best thing for a new player to play as. The type of build you may be interested in is usually called a "paladin". You can look up a few guides on YouTube for some late-game examples. As far as early game is concerned though, I would suggest putting your points into STR and VIT and focusing on your critical rate (accuracy isn't as useful in this game because criticals always hit and a lot of bosses have high dodge rates to the point where accuracy doesn't help).

    4. Play the game at your own pace. Don't worry about rushing through the game if you don't feel like it. Looking for some spina earning guides would also help out a lot since selling to NPCs is barely effective in this game.

player-crafted gear has no stats on it by default.
the stats can be customized, but there is a limited selection. basically they are all the same, just with more points. the "real" Barkmail is something else entirely.
regarding looks, it is possible to change the equioment's appearance, so you could make your armor look like Barkmail even if it is not.
(although the options for new players are very limited, because of the resources/cost)
yes, but not as much as another player.
although their actions are counted as your own for the ranking scores at boss battles.
depends on your setup, but mostly yes.
surviving is one thing, but you also need to maintain aggro (so that most attacks are directed at you) and you need to make sure not to direct AoE attacks to party members.
(some attacks can follow the target, especially bulet type attacks are tricky as the attack indicator only shows the impact point, but they also hit everything on their path)
rushing through the main quest is only viable for veteran players who added a new character.
take your time and explore. aside from levels you also need equipment and game experience (especially for a new character with skills you haven't used before).
there are also many nice places that the main quest never mentions, you have to explore and find them by yourself.

if a boss is too hard, you can change the difficulty to easy. if you need to level up, go to other maps. there is always a boss around your level, the main quest just skips a few of them.
you can also find some powerful equipment dropped by mobs in other places.
of course the crafted version has higher stats, but you usually won't get it until much later. there are only a few barriers, most of the world is open for exploration.
