If you have a spare character slot but you already have dps, tank, BS or luk char etc. I think it is a good time to spend that slot on maze farming.

Here some good drops in maze farming:
    • High-purity orichalcum and mithril
    • Hyper anti-degration
    • Skill books
    • Maze gem (use it with gem run)
    • Dye gems and tattered catalog for character customisation

    Prerequisite to maze:
    • Guild reach level 10.
    • Low level character (< lv. 20): Monster scale HP and dmg toward your level
    • Minimum +C weapon: Equipment is the only way too boost your dmg up
    • At least 4000 HP: Use food HP or armor that gives HP
    • More requirements depend on your char (crit, ampr, atk, etc...)

Since this character must keep low level, you can easily reset this char for either testing build or changing your build to fit maze level. That to be said, you most likely want to change your build depend on the maze level to speed things up.

*** You want to farm maze at level 901+ due to high chance of rare drop, so any level lower than this, skip toward the exit asap ***

    Recommended build:
    Level 1-600:

    • Difficult to navigate in maze, use weapon with fast attack motion
Katana: Sukuchi + Issen + Pulse blade.
    OHS/THS: Sukuchi + Trigger slash (lv. 6+)
    Level 601+:
    • Map is clear of view, but monster comes in group (can be like 10 mobs) and higher HP. Use AoE and t4 skill.
THS: Sukuchi + Trigger slash (lv. 5) + Meteor + Opener (Reflex)
AoE + DPS: Meteor (Save) > Trigger slash (Smite)

DW: Spinning slash (good 1 MP AoE). Still need Shukuchi
Boss can use Storm Reaper (save) + Twin Slash (Smite)
or Shining Cross (Save) + Shadow Step (Smite) (Max lv. 6)

Katana: Shukuchi + Hasso + Opener (Reflex)
AoE + DPS: Hasso (Save) + Garyou (Swift)
or Hasso (Save) + Triple Thrust (Swift) + Pulse Blade (Smite) (Harder to leveling combo)

MD: Shukuchi + MP charge + Impact (lv. 7)
AoE + DPS: Impact (Save) + Javelin (Smite)
    Hints:
    • Monster only appear in a "room", means you can check on mini-map and know which area is room.
    • Not all path toward exit is a straight line, check other room (by mobs on mini-map) that you can reach to the exit.
    • Avoid long range and slow cast weapon.
    • Always try to skip monster below level 900 maze. The time consume is not worth your profit here.
    • One boss occur at exit every 10 level (10,20,30, etc.) and one more final boss room before treasure room open (100,200,300, etc.)
    • All treasure room can only be opened once until maze reset
    • If multiple of monster groups occur, you can aggro all of them together then do 1 AoE
    • Production skills cannot be used in maze.
    • When travel with party member, make sure your party member dead, only leader need to stay alive. Dead member can remove trap and guide leader to the exit (dead member still get drop)
    • If you have second account. You can keep this account stay as support role, mainly to heal and recover your MP. Also profit you for extra drops.
    • From maze lv. 100 onward, every enter to maze cost 100 maze mana point. Progress is saved every 10 floors for the leader of party and 100 floors for the whole guild.
    • 1% of total maze mana point is automatically recovered after 3 mins. All mana points will be recovered in 5 hours.
    • Every few weeks, rate of maze chests will be increased along with trap rates. Make sure maze reach level 900 before that time and well equip with HP pots.
    • Maze chest boost only last few days so save some mana potion if you want extra farming.
    • Do NOT go maze when you are about to sleep!!!
Note: Edit when new info come.

when the floor says "it's full of monsters", the number of monsters is doubled but the drop rate of coins is also doubled.
since lower floors are easier to kill, it is very profitable to at least wipe those floors.

I wouldn't say so. You can have up to 50 coins per stacks and most coins are bronze. High refine weapon also overkill mobs regardless of floor. Even on boost rate drop days, selling these coins won't be much more than 15k. Instead of trashing inventory and wasting time on them, treasure chests can just drop few extra Hi-purity mithril and already out profit coins.

I'm using lv1 char with 1k aspd, Rampage + Shukuchi and Sonic wave for when there's more than 2 mobs.

I enjoy killing Shining Gentleman and Death Colon most because those 2 always 1 hit me before when I didin't know mob strength scale with our lvl and use cap char to maze :p

the colour of chests changes at midnight (japanese time GMT+9).
each colour has a line-up different from the others, not all items appear in all chest colours.

I only noticed the weekend chests. The saturday chest contains andegs (normal, super, and hyper), refinement powders, and colored gemstones. The sunday one contains high purity ores (iron, damascus, mithril, orichalcum), and light gemstones.
Chest boost is every 2 weeks, or 2 times in 1 month. Its 3x chest appearance for the first one, and 5x for the second one.

today's chest is green. it's sunday in japan for 7 more hours.
i opened 3 chests and got 2 light shards and 1 HPO.

i don't have enough data on this, but it looks like the green one is more likely to contain ores.

Anyone knows what’s the % drop rate for books in the maze? And are there factors that increase our possibility of getting one besides the event of course
