Halberd-Observations and ideas

I used it to get the 400 knock out achievement. It's much easier to die now haha

Hi guys, noob question again..
If u have an elemental arrow as a sub-weapon for halberd, will it benefit? Or it only works for bows?

 

arrow element only applies to shot skills.

pretty sure skill elem overrides weapon/sub-weapon elem. Perhaps arrow elem only applies on auto-attacks if main weapon has no elem?

 

nope. element only works for bow/bowgun main wpn. if your weapon is not bow or bowgun, your element will follow your main weapon element

 

the status ailment skills happen to have pre-defined elements, but neutral skills like Power Shot, Arrow Rain and Snipe will use arrow element.
auto attacks always use weapon element.

 

bad idea. halberd has the lowest increase of MATK for int points. just go with the 1h

 

@Red_Fox thanks for clarifying which shot skills have no elem for me. All this time i was thinking all of them had elem. XD

No such thing as a bad idea, just bad endings. xD No one really liked the stat distribution for 1h mages either, but now we have an Ice Sword to make it a thing.

 

Does quick aura boost aspd of other weapons like knucks, bows, dual swords and md? Btw, is the skill phy or mag? I read that it also boost dodge, i wonder how much at each lvl?

 

only ASPD, nothing else.
it works with all weapons.

For the armor its really good for BBGarb fo the dodge and envasion .

 

For now, I'm just investing in full STR (rest AGI) with Critical Rate gear. Using Daggers as sub.

Planning to use a simple combo like flash stab> spike dart (cons, 90% damage) > strike stab (cons, 80% damage) > another appropriate skill with an MP cost <= 300, if any (cons, 70% damage)

Then filling the rest with offensive passives (halberd mastery, godspeed [maybe], battle skills [much later], that one halberd passive that increases Critical Rate with halberd equipped, dagger passives)

And then HP boost.

 

That works too. Add shell break for the last skill

 

I don't wanna add shell break...
Without knuckles it has a lower chance to guard break (which allows for mp recovery), and inflicts less damage (since it aint used as a buffer and it isn't used to save mp, there is no point). I would rather use triple kick (since it crits high) if I were to choose a brawler skill but even then I would want to avoid the brawler tree in general (if i can find a better 300 MP Skill).

I looked into dagger skills, but I have no dex so poison knife isn't useful and gatling knife takes to long to finish.

Honestly I was thinking of using Triple Kick, another Halberd Skill with <= 300 MP Cost, or just not having another skill (which could save me skill points).

 

anyone tried using dive impact(assuming most of you got to lvl10) with smite (full 50%) on boss? what dmg did u all get?

 

ah what was your atk stats? during that time? i assume u got over 1k atk?
