Has anyone try katana+sub dagger build?

Doesn't see any player doing this build on Youtube so far

 

I never use Katana before but as far as I know Two handed skill from katana tree gives huge buff for Katana user if they don't equip anything as sub, therefore if someone equip a dagger then he/she will loss huge benefits of two handed skill

 

Everybody wants BIG FAT YELLOW NUMERICAL DIGITS in front of their screen. Having a sub weapon is a big no since it negate the 2h passive for katana(a waste of good 5sp)

 

I know bout two-handed passive but u can make gatling dagger as ur main dps combo it with zantei

 

Not worth it obviously

 

Why didn't you try it a few days ago when there were free resets?

 

People consider dagger skill "GARBAGE".

Still hoping for a revamp on dagger skill tree.(obviously it became like hunter skill) T_T

 

tank and support katanas use daggers, since the extra stats are way more useful than stronger critical hits.
but since most people deny the existence of tank or support builds, only the attacker builds without sub weapon survived.

there's also the possibility of a ninja build, relying on buffs and ailments and piling up damage through many hits, similar to a knuckle dagger build (also ninja).
but the reason why we don't see them is the same as why we don't see knuckle dagger builds: they are ninjas
most likely they exist on the japanese server, but not on youtube.

 

Without 2 handed passive katanas suck. And dagger stats can’t make up for such an op skill bonus. Ktn is prob one of the worse Gatling builds too because slow stat growth and low weapon atk

Some old player told me katana+dagger is not even a class..

 

It’s not, ktn was purposefully made under powered so that they have to rely on 2 handed

 

Then why'd they add synergy to bow and katana?

 

And because it's not even viable. Why build something that no one wants in a party.

 

I've try it.. And it's not worthy i will told you, the Critical Damage Cause is lower for wearing sub while using Katana (Passive Monofu Innactive). And even when i tried to use Gatling Knife, the damage is goes lower than using '1H+Dagger'. So Forget it, sure your gatling knife is always critical if you use Modestia. But the damage is joking.

 

Beside.. If im not mistaken, you are Daedalus whos using tank character with Armor and Helmet of Snowman. How are you talking aboutnkatana now..

i only made a katana w/ dagger sub on a character i made for the two-skills-tree-mastered emblem last year. The only thing it was good for is spamming Throw Knife to kill Golden Potums very quickly.

 

When I tested this, I just equipt and unequipt dagger on an existing katana build, just compared the damage to see the obvious that they don't mix well. Damage wise bowtana > katana dagger, though future assassin class may the later a boost. If somebody wants to use dagger as main dps, then the main should be a staff using str stat or better yet, a halberd. ^_^
