can bow substitute for hb due to satellite arrow? and is there any advantage that hb have over bow?

 

no.

Impact>Satelite take about 3 second to release the skill, and another 3~4 second to hit the target, total 6 second+ and no guarantee hit ( if ignore evade )
Impact>DT take only 3 second to release and hit the target, with guarantee hit ( if ignore evade )

advantage on using HB over bow
1) Higher Motion speed, Both weapon can use GSW, but HB with low risk and due to HB sub stat is AGI, it's can reach 50% motion speed
2) Dive Impact -Dive impact is the only skill that have effect on reduce Guard/Evade chance....
3) HB can use Guard and Evade
4) in Fate Stay Night, Lancer is strong against archer classes.....

 

If the boss is moving a lot pick hb, the rest should be
Impact-Satellite smite-finale smite
Auto attack
Start combo again after 2nd arrow fall down.

 

Bow have CF for moving boss and SAT for stay boos, and unlimited MP recovery by long range decoy.
Only 1 problem for Bow user is you need a good tank, so the HB advantage over Bow is Solo skill.

 

To summarize:

DT is much faster than Satellite arrow.
Satellite Arrow is for timing experts and is best used against a sitting duck.
DT is spammable, Satellite Arrow cancels the previous SA skill animation if used too early making it a waste of MP.
Halb have a life saving skill called Dive Impact.

Just because bows are too strong during the event doesn't mean they can replace others easily. If you already noticed, the anniv events are a stage for bow users. Just think of it as once a year event where we can vent our frustrations because other weapons have been getting more attention than bows for a long time already. We don't even have a single invincibility skill.

Bow is like a staple for all kind of event.
Cf also dominate the last amalgam event

 

You do have an invincibility skill with katana sub

 

If u want an easy to play dps with op ampr since decoy is ranged and that's the norm every event and is easy to get in parties and easy to do high damage without spending so much then go for bow.
Bow also has snipe and you can use penetrating oil buff and add gear, xtals and ava stats with phys pierce so cf is still a really good option on high defense bosses.
Satellite arrow is only a good option on bosses that don't move a lot or you have a tank that knows how to control a boss that moves a lot if we talking party play.
Dragon tooth is far superior to satellite arrow if you looking for a 100% physical pierce option but imo halberd is harder to play and more expensive if you wana be on par or above a bow dps. If you have enough character slots it's nice to have both, I would say having a bow character is kinda mandatory since most events it's just easier to farm with bow.

 

Then you lose arrow sub advantage. Forget about bow-kata and be realistic. People go after bow-arrow damage-wise.

 

Atleast u are away from boss.knux is the only shortrange class that has no invincibility skill :v and were obsolete as always :v

 

You choose survivability or damage. Sounds perfectly fine to me. So when you choose damage stop complaining about survivability. Also being ranged is one of the best defenses in this game
