Hello! I'm new here ^^ Help me please

I've just started playing Toram Online and so I thought I could seek a bit of help here. :3
How should I spend my Skill Points in Blade Skill Tree and what kind of stats should I choose to make a tanky character. (I've seen some threads about Tank builds but they're too confusing for me ;-; there are these terms that I just can't understand: aoe, aggro, and etc.)
So please help this newbie to get better at this game. >~<
Also, I'm currently at level 6 and this is my first online rpg game!

Btw, Tank builds go full VIT. so put your stat points on VIT

Umh, but I won't deal alot of damage with vitality only, can tanks be a combination of STR and VIT?

If the full tank is all VIT then I guess I'd want a semi-tank based on damage and health.

 

I see. Try VIT and STR then. If you want more damage put them on a 1:2 ratio XD

you can go full str, and get skills that will boost your hp... anyways, are you a 2h or 1h warrior?

 

Hallo!!!!! Welcome to forums and toram!!!! Well a tank is always about Health and how long can it last to hold a monster....and also dps i think??
And btw if u need someone to help u pick me!!!

aoe means the area of attack i think** (eg. mages are good aoe. with one skill known as storm they can kill multiple mobs at once)
dps means damage per second (the person who win the 'att' rank in boss battles has the highest total damage on the boss/damage per second)
aggro means the mob/boss getting attracted to u :").... when u attack a monster, u will see a red arrow on the floor, which means the monster is attracted to u and wanna kill u :"). Tanks usually have higher aggro so as to 'attract' mobs so your pt members will not be hurt by the boss :v <---tank's job


if u want full tank which has very low att, go full vit, get knight skill (aggravate) and survival skill ( hp boost ) to lv10
if u want a damage dealer which can do high damage and tank (but die easier than full vit tank), u go 1h fu if u are 1H user and 2h dps if you are 2h user. Afterwards u spam. Spamming can cause u to get aggro..and u will end up tanking. ( There are many guides on damage classes :"))

as for hybrids with str and vit...
idk about this....but i wont really suggest it since you definetly cannot win in damage against pure damage classes :V
and not as much hp to tank like full tanks.....

Aoe means Area on Effect XD

 

AoE stands for Area of Effect as here ^ Lunaxy said (attacks that cover/affect a wide range).
Aggro stands for "aggressiveness" of the monster, to get Aggro is to get it's Attention, who holds aggro the most time in battles gets the Tank rank. The easiest way to build aggro is by using the highest MP cost skills in the shortest time, this makes 1 MP combos the best aggro stealers.

Also if you want to make a tank and don't go full VIT, there will always be a better tank than you. If you want damage and don't go full STR there will always be a better attacker than you. Max 1 stat first, then the secondary.

 

I'm still new so I only have 1 handed sword(s), I was planning to use duel wielding in the future. Btw are the skills that boost your hp are from the survival skill tree?

So from what I see, trying to balance between STR and VIT is a bad thing if there're already players that are either full tank or full strength?

oh 1h fu are 1h users who use knuckle as secondary and use triple kick and other dps knuckle tree skills to spam damage
not sure about dual wielding tanks...but they are good dps too <----i heard that dual wield users are mostly dodge tanks who evade monster att with evasion :")
(not really sure about dw since last time i had one was months ago XD)

My advice is try to get to lvl 70 first,Make a mage and get skill tier 3 for mage called storm and get it to lvl 10 (One of the best aoe skill so far for farming mobs) And I wish you the very best luck ^^
