There aren't any items for boosting your walking speed unfortunately.

You can buy save points from the store (Sololo in Sofya City)
If you haven't completed Chapter 4 or been to other cities(El Scaro, Einklang, Hora Diomedia, Rugio Ruins...), you can simply buy save points (10 spina) if you have last been to Sofya City. City save points cost 100 spina each, so buy them only if you think you'll passing through multiples cities.

Some monsters will also drop save points, but they're usually for specific maps and they aren't sold in stores. (e.g. Flying Quartz drops Ethos Fortress warps, but you can only buy them from the CB [consignment board], not stores)

Not necessarily. Depending on your level, you can farm monsters and bosses close to your level to gain experience much faster. Look up http://coryn.club/leveling.php and type in your level to see what you can farm for the most experience.

You only need to unlock the Ancient Empress's Tomb in Chapter 3 and reach lvl 50 to unlock the quest "Pride of the Rich" from Lefina(99 NC for 300k exp). There's no need to fight the empress until you plan on continuing the main quest.

    Hope that helps!

1.) No item to increase walking speed. However, there is a katana (mononofu) skill called shukuchi which basically lets you dash to enemies. What you do is attack an enemy to dash onto them, then cancel the attack when you get close enough. Rinse and repeat til you get to your destination.

2.) Teleport scrolls come into place here. Here's a list of places you can teleport into with these items:
    - Sofya City, Rugio Ruins, El Scaro, Einklang, Ancient Empress Tomb, Ethos Fortress, Garden of Beginning, Hora Diomedea (not sure if there are other items since some TP are mob drops only and cannot be store bought). Alternatively, you can use orbs to teleport (or buy Teleport tickets with orbs)

3.) You only have to finish Ancient Empress MQ so you can access the area. Of course, you can always bypass that by using the TP scroll for Ancient Empress Tomb. That's for when you want to farm NC.
As for the quest itself, you only have to reach level 55 to open the quest on Lefina @ Sofya City. No need to do MQ to open the quest itself.

NC "is" the fastest way to lvl up, although its not the cheapest and most efficient way...

They're only fast if you can afford to buy lots of stacks...

As for teleports to any map, there are items called "teleport ticket" in the orb shop, which can teleport you to any starting point of any map
