Highest dps class? A chat

Heya. I been looking and reading over this site and was curious. I know bows and bowguns are not highest dps. What class would ya think has the highest dps atm??

 

It's hard to say what actually has the "highest dps". Each class is good at different things in different situations. And since every class has access to Decoy Shot, under perfect situations, they would actually be pretty equal.

That said, going back to how each class is good at different things, you have to think about difficulty, if the boss is good for short-ranged users or not, and types of aoe it uses, and ailments. If on higher difficulties, Halberds (and the occasional Garyou user) will have an advantage, since they have 100% physical pierce. Finale users will also be extremely effective on higher difficulties, since they don't have to worry about grazing. Archers are very consistent, Dual wield is awesome and can easily keep up with the others now. Knuckles are a bit lackluster because of their lack of atk growth, so it's hard to place them near the other classes, unfortunately. Ohs and Shield has great survivability and utility, but it doesn't do as much damage as 2 handed swords. 2 handed swords lack the survivability but they have the damage, although they are stuck attacking at close range. Overall, I do not believe any one class has the "highest dps", but that the game favors different classes in different situations.

Yes, halberd is best dps if you are very rich and have spina for elemental +S 2s weapons. Absolutely nothing can beat them if the boss def is even a little bit higher around 500+ (Which is a vast majority of the bosses at this point). The people crying for dw nerf should rethink their life.

If you are not as rich and can not afford high end gear I would say either bow or mage since both finale and cf are skills that are strong by itself without needing much of a boost from your side. Finale especially is a skill that doesnt get much boost from your matk or loses much damage from higher def of enemy.

Mage and bow. Rest of class need burn spinas. Halber are the top and the more fukin expensive class you gona know in this game so b4 go for make a halber, give a look to your pocket and cry for your spinas.

 

Best dps : the one that stay alive, know how to prorate, know boss patterns.

 

A dps with all 2 slotted equipmemts but constantly die is a burden on a party (FACT).

Atm, finale and cf users domintes toram. For high difficulty like Nightmare and Ultimate mode, halberd is your best bet. DW is also a strong class now thanks to lvl 4 skills. Back then, this class is mostly casted a lot by parties because the mentality of most players before was "DW sucks".
I could say there is no definite best dps class because every cap, some classes will shine and another one will fall. Who knows at lvl 200+ melee class will shine once more tho hard to imagine with the anti melee attacks from bosses nowadays.

 

My kind of playing style

 

If I had to order them it be
1) DT Halberd
2) CF Bow/Bowgun
3) Finale Mage
4) 2 Handed Sword, Katana, Dual Wield
5) 1 Handed Sword/ Hybrids
6) Knuckle DPS

 

I would say, the list from my observation and in my opinion is:
1st: DT/DW
2nd: katana
3rd: finale/xfire
DW is ridiculously powerful when with right eq and proper use... DT will always be better for high def bosses, but for the most of bosses right now DW wins in my opinion.

Whats cf?? Annd ty for the insight everyone. As i do like to discuss classes and options for classes when i can remember to chat about it.

 

XD now thats a rating. I never knew halberd needed an elemental weapon. Can you tell me why they would need the element??

 

Elements add +25% damage that's a MASSIVE increase. And CF = Crossfire

 

Decoy deservers it's own class.
Then we could make a fair comparison.

The line about halberd mp recharge made me laugh out loud Especially since it‘s so easy: Have around 6k Hp, unequip and equip armor with ornlarf —> Now you are directly at 50% hp and can use alternatly wcos and quick aura. Whole process takes 10, max 15 sec. And this is only for the worst case scenario, usually I try to stay at max MP throughout the battle which usually works
