How many Dmg dealt from [Guard Strike], is it worth??

It depends on a few things. One of the main is refinement of shield. I'm working on a 1H build that uses it. If spammer is in pt the damage is lower varying between 1k-3k but on other parties I've been able to produce 8k. The highest I've hit is 10k guard strike.

This is with marble shield refined +A

As for it being worth it. If you have a decent shield it is a good way for tanks to do some damage. It's fun to use.

Since its classified as physical skill it will gain proration so having high aspd on your char is useful it also gets affected by crt and cdmg so astute user full str 1h+shield is the best class for high dmg not worth it if you are a pure tank

Ms.athena how about using C+ relief shield coz i think guard power can increase more dmg than refinement on shield i already tested for guardian the dmg reduction was not very high the increase in reduction remained same with every +1 refinement i gave to the shield

The guardian and guard strike best work together since guardian raises the guardrate of the caster. Me also thinks that the new stat "reflect" is boost to this skill since guard strike simply reflect (hopefuly amplify in return) damage dealt to the caster.
One more thing, aspd has nothing to do with guard strike since you wont hit until you got hit first. I found it out when i was on ecb party and got caught on blue spikes that overlap.

 

Reflect stat:-
-->Activates all the time
-->but only reflects the % of the dmg as stat
-->cant prorate cant crt
Guard strike:-
-->Activate only if guarded
-->dmg reflected does not depend on dmg taken at all
-->can crt can be prorated
Overall guard strike is better for dps
If you can consistently deal 8-10k with the help of guardians guard rate it can easily reach high dps under certain conditions

 

Hmmm so guard power is totally useless for guard strike since it reduce damage dealt. Better go turtle or excavated golem sheild just for the guard rate then.

With higher aspd you can prorate quickly to increase dmg of strike

 

Ok, i need to do some test on my tank

 

While the guard power might increase the damage I prefer to use marble shield for aggro and mp recovery. I did notice a decent increase in the damage though when I refined so both refinement and guard power will help. Plus I noticed the more you refine the shield the more you guard rate. I noticed this before guardian was even released.

Aspd does help with proration for guard strike. I've noticed my damage is higher with prorate team and not spammers. Unfortunately for guard rate to be high you to use heavy armor but it helps to used potion like giga speed and putting trigger slash on the end of the combo.

All in all if your managing 8k with guard strike it does add up.

 

Ehh now thats a discovery i will test it refining shield only adds resistance not guard rate from what i remember also heavy mastery i dunno if it gives 10% guard rate i calculated before

 

if you plan to make DPS build from it, note that
guard strike is on a physical skill category that benenfits from the shield refine, it crits and also affected by crit damage and proration
you can go marble shield or a high guard pow shield and then have gloria skill / heavy armor+heavy armor mastery to maximize

but its really not good because most bosses attack slowly and if you don't have aggro all the time, it would proc even less
