How not to ruin porate(kata) & and do ppl care if porate is ruined but katana has high damage?

Hello i recently taking my time to learn katana and one of the think i notice is ppl say katana ruin porate coz tenryu is easy to spam. I am actually trying very hard to do 1tenryu one auto but sometime it get bery fast and i cant tell if i did auto in beween tenryu @×@. I recoreded a few runs and asked my friends opinions about porate and it was suck . I try to don1 tenryu one auto but it ended up tenryu all the way.

So im currently do gsw > tenryu(smith)> finale (smith) coz when i cant cast finale it give a bit delay and i think that allow time to do auto atk.

Some of my other friends said dont need to porate...leave it to tank and some said as long as i can do high damage it shudnot matter. @₩@
Does other dps feel the same? As long as the run finish fast porate shudnot matter?

Ahh my tank , bow and halb do very good porate and when i switch to kata...bam!! I ruined the whole pt porate. This is becoming a bad habit that i wanna fix.

Well, take venena for example.
With a good tank that can hold the pillars. And don't trigger the balls. Tank goes on one pillar - you on the other. From afar, three GSV and auras -> buff combo (depends on MP->we put the first decoy combo, 1-two auto attacks - >Magadachi->1 auto - >Charge Tenryu separately to 3/4, after each use auto attack. Then if the pillars haven't been killed yet: Alternate GSV+ Tenryu and impact + Tenryu (optional) (after GSV necessarily auto attack) Well, in General, that's all,further on the situation. Sometimes you throw Garo. If the tank is bad - it is already without GSV&brave aura. But the point is in the gap. Well, the combo with impact-impact + Tenryu Smythe No finale:
Impact 2 MP Tenryu 1×2 buff Smite/2 buff impact.
ideally, there should be a CF behind your back, then AA can be used 1 through 2 skills. And the and not yuzat at all)) 9 And it is better to use fast combos.

 

Normally they are jealous of tenryu if complain that you're ruining the proration. Oh, how I wish my brawler has tenRUSHyu. Personally, I don't mind about proration because I can just prorate myself. ^_^

 

Maybe just change your Tenryu smite combo into Impact + Tenryu smite + Finale smite and use GSW as independence shortcut
300MP combo but long enough for Decoy to recover the same amount within the combo's execution

 

Depend on situation, if you find out your tenryu damages is lowers then usual, stop spam skill and go on prorate mode. Ifs it not just continuous you spam. Once you find out which is better on reduce time in boss run, just continue doing it and change styles every time a new party member join or they change character.

please don’t forget the Ultimate goal on boss hunting is not fight for the best DPS or attack rank, it’s to end the boss as quick as possible.

katana skill not like martial/magic/blade or halberd, you require continues using skill to raise your damage. So when you battle with those [easy] boss, skill mention above is much more better and quick than katana skill, in this situation you better go on prorate/support style. Beside you need to consider about you mana for next run, I meet a katana spammer before and every run need wait him recharge his mana...waste lot of time.

 

people are too busy fighting for the attacker rank, they don't even bother to prorate so the blame is not yours alone.

Just continue doing tenryu + auto atack then tryu once again, it is balance. If ever the damage is lower than the usual then the blame goes to yer party members not you if you ask me.

sometimes even tank ruins proration so the blame is still not yours alone bro.

 

For me i always have one tenryu shortcut separately to do 1mp tenryu. The time you spend for combo just as good as 1 tenryu + 1 proration, which often do more dmg than smite tenryu.
My shortcut:
GSW > Tenryu (swift) = Good to start tenryu or do first two stacks after recharge
Reflex > Tenryu (smite) > Cancel skill = Optional when I have good proration cover (like archer)
Tenryu only = main dps
Pulse blade > Zantei (save) > backstep (swift) > Tenryu (swift) = 1mp start tenryu/1 MP zantei/Garyou charge (bad proration)

 

Well since you have finale as a stopper that means you have impact, if it's not level 7 make it level 7 for insta cast and use combo impact>tenryu(smite) >finale(smite) and then you can spam to your hearts content without feeling bad or worrying about proration because that's what every other dps in toram spams,
Impact>skill(smite) >finale(smite).
If you want to just use tenryu try get used to and practice pattern tenryu>auto>tenryu.
I would say on faster battles tenryu spam is okay or if a party is full of bows it might be okay to spam since they always prorating between cf but in longer battles if you ruin proration for everyone so you can get attacker rank and feel special but the boss run became thee times longer, yeah try not be that person.
But it's really not hard to just auto attack a few times every now again, that goes for all dps and even tank and auto attacking more often means you'll sustain mp and not run out and become useless.
But if anyone is to blame for bad proration in parties blame the people who made toram and never bothered to give a small explanation or tutorial in the beginning of the game explaining proration and how it's better to keep different types of damage balanced. Most people are casual players and don't understand and are clueless about proration because the game never taught them about it, the only way for them to find out is when someone tells them about it or scolds them for ruining prorate.

 

I just do a 1 sec-ish interval inbetween auto and tenryu. Or if i'm really lazy i just use impact>tenryu swift
