Katana build:Stats and... ?sub-weapon?

Came back from when lvl cap was 200


Currently DEX>STR.
With raised stats cap and all, I saw something about AGI>STR being recommend for maxing crit dmg?

Also read on scroll and it's skills, it says it lets two-handed stay active on first skill lvl 10, Clonning and Fire Release look solid to turn self ignite into a bonus and remove my 6 skill points from support tree(recovery lv 1). How does scroll as sub weapon affect stats?

Dodge (stat) buffs from Assassin didn't seem to work well when the dodge/parry system and armor reshape to light and heavy came, so retracting skill points from there will also be done soon.

Currently trying to get Meitou Shisui Preserver which seems to be turbo busted with freed-up crit stats from equipment.

Any answers and additional info would be appreciated.

 

Go STR > DEX if you want to max your cdmg for katana.

You got that right with the scroll. Though, you don't need to remove recovery, since that ignite bonus can't help you when you get hit by mana explosion.

if AGI is higher than STR, critical damage with scale of AGI and STR. otherwise it's just STR like before.
katana doesn't gain attack from AGI but from DEX, so you'll get more power with STR/DEX.

ninja scroll weapon atk and the like only affect ninja skills.
other stats add up as usual, so basically the same as daggers.
some scroll types give additional stats to certain weapons. i think Thunder Scroll was the one for katana.
the assassin skill Shadow Walk applies the dagger's/scroll's weapon atk to it's damage calculation.

the dodge buff works best with Foresight, which makes dodge more effective.
but if you don't build around Assassin Stab you don't really need Foresight since katana's counter attack skills rely on getting hit to activate their full effect.

I'm not going dodge, but now I do [assassin stab]-backstab for the T3 buff of PPierce. Does foresight still matter in any way?

 

Foresight's other effects increases the damage of Assassin Stab and the damage reduction effect of Sicarius.
the ppierce only depends on Sicarius' own skill level and is 25% at max.
