Katana?

why did almost all my friends say katana’s are overpowered when the highest level one I could find on the consignment board has a attack of 36 and my knuckles have a atk of 102 what makes the katana over powered or how can I raise its attack past my knuckles?

 

Its not the attck that makes it powerful its the mononofu skills itself... Plus you need expensive gear to make it "OP"

As per my opinion snipers can still do more dps, even though mono does a lot of dmg in a single hit...

 

So list me the very high priced equipment I need to buy to make it overpowered? I got a bunch of money lol

 

buy odelon crysta (lots of it) since its a blue crysta and equip on all gears with 2s

 

Weapon : +S Kuro Tsurubami with stats crit dmg 7%, crit dmg 14, crit rate 14%, crit rate 14 (or if you really can afford anything get element, weak-ele+14 crit dmg 7% for each element, dark ele (example: element dark, dmg to light +14%, crit dmg 7%) for farm odelon is first priority imho) w/ odelon + tyrant machina/black knight of delusion xtal
Armor : +B or more Armor (any armor) crit dmg 7%, crit dmg 14, crit rate 14%, crit rate 14 w/ iconos + odelon/cerberus xtla
Additional Gear : +B or more Top Hat 9% unsheate atk w/ baphomela + odelon xtal
Special Gear : Unsheathe Bangle w/ goouva + odelon xtal
Buff Potion : Blade Oil

 

Put it in more dumb terms? Like just the item names? What’s all the numbers and abbreviations? New to game so don’t know everything

 

+S, +B, are refine level, +S is +15 and +B is +13
c7ccc14 is full critical stats in weapon/armor, long ver : critical damage +7%, crit dmg +14, critical +14, critical +14%
bkod is black knight of delusion xtal/crysta in case you didn't know

katana kuro tsurabami 55 atk or greater. S refined 2 slot tyrant/bkod + odelon. full crit stats or element stats (roughly 30-50m possibly more)
fullcrit armor + S refine 2 slots delon + iconos/cerabes crystal (roughly 40-50m or more)
2 slot additional gear (top hat 9% unsheath stats odelon+ proto/baphomela +S refine (50m or more)
2 slot unsheate bangle/muscle talisman odelon+ tapir/bexiz/goovua (50m or more)

simply put you need a lot of spina.

 

Yes that helped so basically I have to buy it already fully upgraded? Because my blacksmith skills are not high enough to upgrade any weapons yet

 

wait, dont tell me we can't use same potion from same category at once (atk pot in this case)
never tried it myself, im not katana user, I just think power candy increase atk and blade oil increase unsheate, so its different

 

So I need 200 million spina roughly right? Lol

 

I tried blade oil and muscle oil, they can't stack. I think that goes for power candy too

 

oh sry then, I dunno about it, ty for pointed it.
if they can't be used together, then better use blade oil (100 +5%) than power candy (40 +4%)

 

Try buying non slot kuro tsurubami with +S refine, then buy piercer 0-1 and prime 1-2. I think that's less expensive than buying 2 slot with +S
For arm, I often see cheap 2 slot with +C or +B refine in board. Additional gear and special gear idk

But yeah it depends on the market xD
You should search and compare price a lot if you want the best price

 

Your new to the game, doesnt know the terms, but you got lots of spina?....
Pls dont buy spina in RMT sites, thats how you destroy the games economy

 

Lots of spina to me is 1 million lol like I said I’m new I’ve been Minotaur skin farming I’m not filthy rich like 200 mill range

 

check out guide section how to make spina and beginner guides. gives u a good overview n helps to get into the game. need to read a bit toram pretty complex but worth it
i personally did mainquest first n lvl to 100+ then u can start farming and selling. after u cap lvl first char make alt blacksmith refiner/crafter to get bigger earnings. gl ^^
