    I know that light armor boosts dodge and ASPD, and negatively affects DEF & MDEF, while heavy armor is the other way around. I have also heard that heavy armor boosts guard rate, and light armor boosts evasion rate, but the game doesn't say this. Can someone tell me all of the stats of both amor types?

    the armor mastery skills increase evasion and guard rate, but the armor also adds a small amount by itself, even though the description doesn't say this.
    i tested this by giving the heavy armor from my guardian to my light armored fairy king, and he activated guard.
    although without any guard power stats (some weapons and a dagger have them too, not only shields) it only triggers the unsheathe attack.
    damage reduction on guard only comes from guard power.

    also the increase and decrease in stats is calculated as a %, so if you pick the right armor for the right build, the benefits are greater than the malus.
    unsheathe attacks are triggered by both, guard and evasion, but the special dagger attack is only triggered by evasion.

    * Light armor:
    + Increase ASPD
    + Increase Evasion rate but don't trigger Guard (even equipped stats +% Guard rate)
    + Decrease DEF/MDEF
    * Heavy armor:
    + Decrease ASPD
    + Increase Guard rate, and add a little Guard Power, but don't trigger Evasion
    + Increase DEF/MDEF (more dmg resistant)
    * Normal armor
    + Balanced
    + Have both Guard and Evasion but very low rate

    Light armor doesnt give ASPD directly. and Heavy armor doesnt give DEF/MDEF directly

    Light adds additional multiplier from your char's AGI stat to boost your ASPD/dodge. so If your char doesnt have AGI to begin with, your aspd/dodge will still be low. but it lower your DEF/MDEF because it reduce your multiplier from your chars VIT/INT to boost your DEF/MDEF

    so does the heavy armor. it adds additional multiplier from your char's VIT/INT to boost your DEF/MDEF, so if your char doestn have VIT/INT to begin with, your DEF/MDEF will still be low. Reduce the ASPD/DODGE multiplier from your AGI.

    Light armor gives evasion rate flat
    Heavy armor give guard rate flat
    normal armor doesnt give guard/evasion rate. (this need to be confirmed)

    So if you only remodel your armor for looks, better think it twice before you regret.

    hope it helps..
    but i think this discussion already mentioned somewhere in the past.

    I always remodel my armor depends on how it look. I.e: kimono (heavy) is more more cute than kimono (light).
