I'm going rather to stack gravicep tho, since it's useful for storm farming too

 

No wonder we've been getting those Matk LRD stuff lately

Im guessing Reindeer + Bapho would be good
Utility wise you don't lose damage by changing Range

Loss of Matk is prolly ok cuz Finale doesn't get good scalability with it

 

Doing a search, it appears no significant adds when compared to Magical Stole. For xtals, most prominent is Narumi Hina, as acc. xtals don't have matk above 6%. Scrader maybe decent for budget. Baph, and Grav.

Coryn's search can miss some items, though.

Wonder when Yashiro event will appear again. I hope again, the xtals are good. If anyone is familiar with Yashiro... is it a manga I think? If there's like a conclusion for an arc or something, or a new arc, perhaps that'll be an opportunity for Yashiro event?

 

but still other magic skill is useless even with this buff. those tier 1~3 magic skill is still very very weak compare to most common tier 1~3 physical skill

ex.
Tier 1 = Magic Arrow vs Astute,Moeba,Holy Fist,Flash Stab,Sonic Blade

Tier 2 = Magic Lance vs Sunrise Arrow , Trigger Slash , Shell Break , Floating Kick

Tier 3 = Magic Storm vs Tempest , Snipe , Strike Stab , Fatal Shot , Buster Lance , Hasso , Phantom Slash

Low tier magic skill is very low output and annoying cspd system vs those lower tier physical skill can damage 100k~1m

Magic Skill Tree still revolve only in finale and now burst is power creep

 

they might have done some changes on constants and multipliers, who knows. hoping they'll do that.

 

Before this, just wanted to say that there are situations where other Magic skills can be useful, it's just that we're too used to Finale that we forget we can use them. Nonetheless that doesn't justify the weakness and lack of utility of other magic skills.

Now, that I quoted is what Im worried about. Burst is very expensive, and with SRD/LRD Finales, it would be difficult to justify the cost of burst in relation to Finale.

The CHEAPEST DPS out there legit just got stronger.
It's a buff we didn't see coming but it's very much welcome. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

 

Magic Arrows is the most powerful tier1 skill in the game.
Lances and Blast are both stronger and cheaper than Storm. tier3 magic is just utility, the attack spells are at tier2.

 

new crysta is OP for mages, and a new staff drop again so finale/burst mages are now at apex again?

I got the crysta on quest fight so I never farmed it (the equipments)

i doubt that magic arrow is strongest T1 in the game. i manage to deal 180k from Astute 1H and almost 300k from Holy Fist (low def boss)

i doubt that Magic arrow can spar that damage also magic have cast time which they are slowest spammer class

even magic skill utility is garbage compare to physical utility skill (same level tier)

unless they turn magic skill weapon restriction to non staff/md (so impact and finale is not getting abuse)

even if you compare lance to other t2 physic skill. skill like shell break and floating kick give more massive dmg and better utility than lance and blast (lance have too long setup to deal all total damage)

 

Uh, what about Assassin Stab and Forefist Punch?

 

i guess you get those numbers with critical damage and short range bonus? a low-level character with the appropriate amount of stat/skill points and corresponding equipment cannot do that. magic arrows adds up to 6x your atk power, while power shot is 2nd place with 2-3x and all the other skills have a 1.5 multiplier.

if it is a new character with extra points from emblems and some higher level gear, magic arrows can one-shot all bosses up to minotaur. you can't do that with the other skills.

assassin stab without upgrades doesn't compare to magic. it is stronger than other physical skills, but also costs 3 times as much mp. especially magic can do a lot more damage with 3mp. the only advantage of assassin stab is the high speed.

and even though it's considered tier1, it has a level requirement and tier2 main weapon skills become available around the same time. initially, blast and lances are both stronger than assassin stab, unless you can get a critical hit.

 

How has this affected Storm?
What is the change in damage after applying Long-range skill and SRD/LRD benefits?
A baphomela xtal would be enough to provide both...

 

Long-range skill always affects its damage regardless of your position. So storm always got 10% damage boost from Long Range Mastery.

Srd/lrd from gears and ava stats affect storm damage relative to your current position not on the time you cast the spell. So assuming you got gravicep and your distance at the epicenter of the storm is between 0-7 meter then you get the srd bonus, any further than 8+meter srd has no effect.

 

Tier 1-3 sucks except impact and maybe one day chain cast+arrows. Im dying inside to have a proper magic branch and stop spamming finale like a dumb. Ive been tempted to change to samurai a ton of times already (I like parry style) at least have combination with skills.

 

I know what the difference means, I wanted to know if the damage increase is considerable enough to challenge Halberd Farmers at Locations like Ivy and Bubble, maybe even higher.
