Mage racists...

Every time I'm impressed how some people act... I start seeing people on boss like "Lfm but no mage", I totally understand them...

 

Some people have multiple accounts and don't really want one during boss fights, also most people ask for mage/archers because of their efficiency at farming

 

Oh I k ow ofc, but it doesn't hurt that much to have one sword in a full mage party. And I'm talking about thise people who don't want mages in boss parties because of their behaviour.

I can't wait till they make an anti Mage boss. I have a list of mages I don't participate with.

Yep, i see this argrument over and over again even in my another group.

Luckily in my another group we often do plvl from time to time XD (i do plvl sometime for swordie and brawler... but not the full luck cha)

I often see these racist people... even lower lvl mage got discriminate. There was one time i am lvl up my mage (lvl38) with another 2 mages (lvl 45 and 55) at rutiro. Then we invited another mage. After she joined us she said " i want a lvl 55 full mage pt" then she leave. We was so shock.

Astrol and GD are a good example of bosses that required non-mage players. However, after a few day after the update people got bored of it and went back to farming again =...=

I havent play Toram for a while due to my handful homework but hopefully thing will start to change soon.... or you start to "not care" about it soon.

 

I really really really wish that there is a dungeon where all its monster have High Mdef so all magic attack is nullified.

The only ones that are gonna get weeded out by a dungeon w/ high mdef are the farmer mages who rely on magic wall. XD
It might get tricky, but mages who has Magic Blast will shine.

 

I don't really see Mage discrimination? Most ppl just say "lfp Mage/tank/breaker/dps" and you get invited. Im only annoyed when you invite a 2h swordie and he does no damage ._. Or a 1h who does no dmg and cannot tank either.

Leveling a warrior is easy; now a full tech blacksmith is another story.

 

This is why it's nice to have a few different toons. I have what I call a war-priest " mostly mage, and priest build", then my gunner ranger, and a evaison spec brawler, and a blacksmith. It lets you fill almost any role needed. You can farm pretty much anything. Plus different toons gives you a better perspective on the different roles in a party.

 

I even remember the very name of dat elitist high class exclusive pro mage. I was lvl 50, using staff (m.dev sub) and lfp-ing in goblin. This awesome guy, invite me and say channel number, and start counting down, 5 4 3 2 1. I get kicked, wtf! I really wish we have pvp, so I can give him some lessons.

 

Never played Iruna right? Without a mage on iruna for bosses it become very very very hard to beat,i have to admit that seems toram have weaker bosses but i doubt much a antimage boss maybe with much magic def

Sorry? Thats to me? Your should show me Im mistaken and not swear me.Its a reality that almost all mobs on mmorpgs hace less magic def than defense that show how many you have to learn.

this mage hate is getting old. I think every player should have a mage as an alt at least. Just cause ppl say mage only doesn't make them racist. They simply want the most efficient class for the job, which usually is mage. The only thing I agree with you guys on is the quick to judge players. They look at a lower lvl or another class and kick right away without giving them a chance. That's just ignorant and rude and I'm sure it's happened to us all. for example a 1h sword using magic wall gets kicked cause they're using sword, or tank getting kicked cause they're using a staff.

the nature of Toram allows for varying character design (skill/stats), customisability, and gear equips..
my fave is brawler, but have 5 slots for diff classes (all for specific roles; especially when you are in a team of four in a boss fight and cant find a certain role; i.e. no tank, just switch, no breaker, just switch, no dps just switch, etc)

Mages: its true about mage gob parties where mages are the best at farming, so i probably reccommend any player to use a mage at the 'mage effective areas' to do the specific farming work and giving the small articles to all the other characters. that should resolve the mage hate?

gunner/archers: in areas with widely spread mobs, i prefer gunners/archers to single shot farm (you dont need to waste time running from mob to mob!)

of course i cant speak for the idiots who think they are superior just because they are high level and proficient in their fave class.
i remember i was kicked using golem arm as a mage in small article farm cos i like the earth quake animation... that taught me about using other weapons other then the prescribed one for the specific 'class'... good thing i checked by asking and clarifying... i could have almost removed an awesome tank who used staff (player IGN: Caskadia! woootz!, just noticed caskadia started a tank [staff] guide).

quick judgements should stop... cos it kills Toram's fully customisable concept of we throw in 'classism' and quarrel over the 'best' class...
