I've recently gotten the brutal dragon sword, and with the 500+ on cast speed an aspd I want to make a magic warrior, one that can use magic spells and sword skills both well I'm currently doing stats as such, int=str=dex, and I have magic arrow max, mp recharge 1 and astute max, can anyone help me expand on this and tell me if and what I'm doing wrong so far? Haha thanks in advance

    Hmm why not int>dex>critical
wearing a armor with mage stats will help
or a armor with worrior stats
as a magic warrior one skill will be unbalanced you should pick magic as main focus and physical as secondary a int>str can help
I may test this as well sounds fun

Since you're using a 1h (dex > str) since str adds 2atk but dex adds 2atk+1acc.

Just a thought, when will you find time to swing the sword, since you will be casting most of the time?

Well lately I have been casting like magic wall, and as the mobs come close but having been knocked back yet I swing, i did try June's build but I didn't like it although that's just my personal preference it was a great idea nonetheless, after restating again I found a balance where atm my atk and matk are close to equal (I think one is just a few points lower) I like this build bc on bosses I like casting magic arrow then swinging my sword

On a side note does anyone know if magic javelin is worth getting I've never had it before, but I have 1200mp would this work well with my magic warrior

Also I cast spells fairly quick both my aspd and cspd are 550 or so so it doesn't take very long either way

Well...I think the only thing you should worry about is your mp recharge. Cuz I have a warrior with 10 recharge and it takes 4-5 seconds.
While as a Mage it takes 3-4 seconds at 10. So there is a difference, btw as a magic warrior you still the main DPS so I would say get the Magic Earrings (adds mp, sorry I forgot name) and unequip the Magician's Ring (ik u have it on x3) and switch it to a Dex ring or Str one. Or maybe even a Int one cuz more magic dmg.

Magic Monk? I like where this is heading...:p
Maybe a Magic Brawler? (I love making hybrid classes. More unquie game play)
Stats can be : 40-50 Int and Rest on Agi.
Skill: Normal recommanded breaking skill (sorry I never had a brawler so idk the skills:()
But with Arrow & Javelin. Also recharge too.
    Game Play!
Run up to boss to break it then after all the part is broken use magic skill to finish it.
Or start off with magic to weaken it and beat it up with brawler skills.:D

I am a all brawler player I suspect a magic type to be like a magic tool user as magic tool stats int/agil/dex

Hey you gotta add the new priest skill holy punch is the namr i think its based on atk and matk as well you can go int=dex build for this for monk types this can be good because seriously brawlers dont fain much cast speed as this skill is instant and considered physical damage good luck!

Have you try to equip Magic Devices as sub-weapon?
    It help reduce recharge time.

I've try this with my magic warrior (ATK 157, MATK 255),
    Target: Lavarca
At lv5 it done around 300 - 700 dmg, while lv10 astute done 700 - 1,500 dmg, which is not bad.
Maybe if we can find its damage algorithm, it might be great skill for hybrid warrior.

If we can use "sword skill" without sword. It'll best if the main weapon is "magic device" because INT stat growth is : 4M.attack + 2P.attack :D
M.attack will be the same as staff user, and the P.attack will be the same as 1H sword user :)

And about Magic brawler. I think is not bad,
    In Theory
Because on Knuckle each 1 INT = 4 M.attack which is the same #number as Staf user.
The main DPS skill will be Holy fist and Shell break,
While the "shell break" lower enemy's defend then "Holy fist" damage will get the extra multiplier (I guess).
Ex. combo: Assault attack > Shell break (consc) > Holy fist (smite) > Bash (consc)
Stats will be pure INT, because I believed "Prist skill tree" is INT related.
Magic wall will be the best DPS, but it's not the style here :D

Sadly, blade skills need a sword. And as for magic brawler ( i have one) this is my build (excluding equips, just know I use magic device, and light armor)

    Agi, Int

    For combos I use:
Smash> Holy Fist (Consecutive)> Sonic Wave (Consecutive)> Shell Break (Consecutive) - 100 mp
Sonic Wave> Magic Arrows (Consecutive) - 100 mp (ranged combo for running away XD)

I also have bless from the priest skill branch

Ahh I see. magic device also get p.attack as AGI up, 2atk each. Just same #number as usual knuckle user.
And, if you had enough ASPD then you will switch to adding to INT which you still get 2P.attack on each INT.
    Well done!

How its work? Breaking boss with M.device instead of knuckle? any Pros and Cons please?
I saw many ppl said that brawler's skill need to equip knuckle to make it effective (chance of break).
