Magical Devices vs Staffs

Soo I got my crystal wings and were playing around with them and had previously used a water staff and just happened to notice a slight difference in cast times on the same skills between the two when using them. no xtal slotted. It seems to be around a whole second aswell which is quite a big deal. Anyone else notice this or are magic devices just generally supposed to be slower?

also you can equip a dagger like magicialdagger or a shield with staff and that is a "plus" to your status

Is there anyone try to compare m devices vs knuckle?

 

You can't really cuz they're completely different

 

But the ATK on m device also influenced by Agi. So i think there will be a build to create a ranged ASPD char using m device

 

So does having magic device as a secondary do nothing?

Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, just seems like too much to ask for from a secondary weapon.

 

If your magic device is your secondary while you have a staff on you Cannot fly, the specials do not work.

 

By special effect I meant flying not anything to do with the stats xD.

 

if the magic device is equipped in subweapon, do mages get the effect of its stat??
I'm guessing the weapon attack power doesn't count.

 

No you receive nothing, not even the flying effects.

An odd thing though if you equip say BD sword for the increased cast rate as your primary but also have a magical device in your secondary slot, you can cast magic at an increased rate but damage suffers a bit because your primary affects your stats not secondary. But the funny thing your wings still pop out when using mage skills lmao though when you use a staff they do not.

 

cool, I don't plan on using a BD sword though, that wing device made me do a mage haha...

 

a couple observations ive made dealing with devices, its not wall that hits more, tho it does indeed have wider aoe range, it is arrow that hits more, 8 times vs a staffs 6, this is also true of some other weps using arrow, like knuckle; to the person who says device is SLOWER than staff? just wait...hehe
