Maintenance Notice (30.06.21) - def/mdef improvement

they are finally going to adjust the effect of the def/mdef stat.

and losing a boss battle no longer forces you back to town.

 

Adjust doesnt mean make better though...
Lets hope it doesnt become worse

 

・World Treasure will be added to some maps where the story mission of Chapter 10 takes place.

Not like def will help most dps since under gsw youre 1hit anyway, so doesnt really matter. But for tanks, knights, mages it could have some benefits...or not

 

before this patch your def/mdef already pass by add gear + level cap = +250 which bark mail def/mdef boost is like 1~1.5% dmg reduction only vs adv garb

 

So, what changed?

My first impression is def. calculation change vs. enemys; to help lower damage classes. But I suppose it can also be interpetated as a def calc. change on your gear vs mobs attack you and not the otherway around.

Regardless anyone who is attentive to damage in game (aka. not me) should be able to tell the difference... I think. Anyone... notice a difference?

 

I tested 250, 800 def/mdef before and after update. Couldnt see any difference at all....
Probably doesnt even have something with player def to do

 

So it's been a couple of weeks.

What changed?

 

i can fight the mobs in eldenbaum city ruins without dieing, but i don't remember how strong they were before the update.
Reliza has a multi-hit skill dealing 20k+ damage per hit, so it's not a significant change.
without actual data from before the update to make a comparison, i can see no difference at all.
