Making bs

Hello
I'm making Dex>Str bs blacksmith and I have a couple of questions that I hope would find answers for here.
1- i believe dex>str is for ohs and bows, right or no?
2- must the character be level 200 to get the 72 pot on bows/ohs? My char currently is at 170 only
3- Do i need tech points? Or can i just go Full dex rest str?
4- if Dex>str is for bow and ohs then what stat distribution is for katana? I know that str agi is for HB/2HS.

1. Yes or vice versa.
2. Yes if you haven't learned the lvl4 craftskill passive yet(it adds +10%pot that is why 79-80pot is achievable right now)
3. Totally up to you; without tech you'll fail alot..
4. Katana is Dex>Agi or vice versa.

 

yes. and also 2h and bowgun (2h needs just str, bowgun just dex).

for 1h and bow, it takes the total dex and str and adds 1 potential for every 20 points.
at lv170 you should have 420 stat points, so you can get up to +21 potential.

tec increases the success rate of crafting. it is not mandatory but you will fail much less often with tec.
(it also raises the difficulty level, required to unlock higher level recipes. dex does that too, but at a much lower rate.)

katana is dex/agi. halberd is str/agi, but 2h is just str.

 

1. (DEX + STR)/20 give potencial for 1H and Bow.
2. In Lv Cap 200 you can get 26 pot from stats.
3. In my case, i dont use TEC because i prefer maximun potencial and I use bs gears (DEX, STR and DEX% in gears, avatar and xtals) and I can reach 100% success when i create weapons.
4. 2H only need STR and Halberd need STR + AGI
