Maximizing crit rate with equips/xtal

Hello started this game 3 days ago, currently lvl 46 hunter.

i was wondering whats the current set up for maximizing crit rate

From what i have learned the set up would be

War Bow gun // Boss goblin xtal
FW garb // Boss gob xtal (i see theres few craftable 5 crt armors but not sure what they are)
War helm // Warmonger
Pendulum or Dex ring with BG xtal

off-hand i got no idea.

P.S do i have to use 'combo' to maximise dps???
P.P.S for hunter (ranged) what would be different comparing Oozo xtal and Vorg xtal???

 

There isn't a point of raising crit rate if your base dmg is going to be low, you may have a 100% crit rate but a really low base attack which only does around 2k with crits while with random crit rate and high base dps gets you around 3.4k...
As for the combo, it's up to you, sometimes it's better to use a combo at all.....
As for Xtals it would be better to look into other xtals and stray from a all dps type build, you may have high dps but be doing it every 8 seconds when you could be doing damage in a 2 second gap....

 

ok. For a base dmg i went full DEX is that not enogh?
As for xtals either Vorg or BG seem popular...........

 

Heavy dagger for +5 crit

And for critical rate xtall, it's better mauze xtall then boss goblin I guess.
Xtal: MaxMP+150, Crit Rate+2, - 4% acc

 

that % though. I dont fully understand what accuracy do in combat but considering 1 DEX = 1.something accuracy and i am planning to max DEX so not sure how much accuracy it will be off by Mauze.
