Middlemen to reduce scamming

Been seeing a lot of scamming going on and even tho its the buyers fault, there is just some stuff the buyer can't control. for instance Armor appearances. I've seen accusations of at least 4 ppl scamming via crystal armor app. Why should we care right? it wasn't us getting scammed. but if it happened to you then you know that feeling when you get scammed. Some scams can't really be stopped, like pre reg codes. a middleman can't test a code for validity.
Middleman: Someone who takes responsibility of making a trade go successful. You can charge people fees or do it out of complete kindness. The way it works for those who don't know, both players give the item to the middleman where he/she confirms all is ok. if everything is good to go then the middleman can proceed to trade the items to the players.Always nice to tip and +1 your middleman to let people know they were trusted with a successful trade. A middleman can scam you if they want, their reputation will go to shit but it's a risk you take.
example of a successful trade:
Bob is selling xtal app to Meg. Meg doesn't know if it's actual xtal app so they use a middleman (MM for short).
Bob gives the MM xtal app, Meg gives the MM spina. MM checks to confirm its an actual xtal app, and if so he will give the xtal app to Meg and the spina to Bob. Bob and Meg tip MM a small amount (if they want) and +1 him/her on forums with possible screenshots to prevent false +1's.

if anyone thinks this is a good idea and wants to take on this responsibility feel free to comment and maybe I or someone else can start a Middleman list on forums. Hopefully we can make Toram a safer place.

EDIT: As an MM you have no right to keep a scammers item if they are attempting a scam. That is scamming at its own, just screenshot and report. Also MM'ING is usually for high valued items or items that can't be confirmed in a trade as real (like armor appearance)

Well imo, the moment someone even mentions they're selling a xtal armor or an appearance my red flags go up since this has quickly become a very easy method of scamming recently. So my advice is this, only trade with people who you trust and have crafted gear for you before or craft it yourself. Period.

Simple to follow and almost zero room for error.

 

This happened to me the other day. Being still pretty new to the game I had no idea, the guy named was Light in a girl character he had the crystal armor and said it was a app and I didn't think about it too much but yeah he ended up scamming me for 100k. But I learned my lesson don't trust anyone haha

 

It's a good idea in theory but it's a trouble to set up. This can be easily solved on the programming side by adding a note in the description saying what the item has been synthed with. Until then, everyone just simply avoid appearance trades. Scammers don't even have to use their main accounts to scam so reporting a specific character is only going to be a mild inconvenience to the scammer.

 

My only advice, trust people you have a relation with. IEXP.

Only people, and include myself, that can be aware of how douch a person can be. And I say myself, cus I am aware I am a douch bag.

Wouldn't calling him a douche, by definition, mean he is very helpful? He just helps keep the flow clean as unpleasant as that process may be.

I bought on C.armour app ...luckily the seller didnt scam me~ it was my first time buying the app one. And also the last time coz i didnt want to take a risk anymore.

The c.armour price goes up so crazily.

I recently bought one for 250k (not app) ... the seller wanted to sell for 300k ...but i didnt have that much lol. Lucky that he willing to lower the price.

Another guy offer me a cyan dye c.armour (not app) for 400k (i was like WOW)

BUT i think we need a auction house~~~
