New Player, Just Getting Started

Hi!
I know this seems a bit of a dead medium, but I'm not quite sure how else to engage actively in the community and I would really like to. Especially since it doesn't seem like people chat all that much in the main hub.
I'm interested in this game, and what I have played is super fun, if a bit challenging for my own fault from choosing staff. Which I'm pretty dedicated to getting good at if I can.
So, I guess if anyone is still lurking around and wouldn't mind showing a new player the ropes, I'd really appreciate it! ^^
