New player...Melbrox

New player to Toram and a new player to this genre etc. Mainly played strategy and sims before. Building a Katana. Might explore a katana tank. However the mechanics of the game are boggling. Especially the deciding what to do with old equipment and excess materials. Except for boss mats which I hold onto in the general store I am pretty sure I am selling or synthing poorly. Currently focusing on trying to improve equipment via monster/boss drops and maybe one part of the story.

Not sure if level 35 is a level where it would be useful to party or be in a guild.

your level has nothing to do with party/guild. you need it when you need it.

just to clarify:
a party includes up to 4 players, who share battle rewards when they are on the same map.
it's a temporary assignment for a specific task, like boss hunting or material collecting.
especially material collecting can be 4 times faster in a party.

a guild can (currently) fit up to 89 players.
they share a bar room and a chat channel.
when you need a party for something, but no one is around, you are more likely to get help from your guild than asking random people in town.
