newbie to dictator

so guys i was playing an rpg and after a year and a month I joined a guild within that guild I found a friend who was a newbie I had been showing them the basics from elements to the difference between physical and magic based abilities and About a month after that we made our own guild which we voted she should lead and at that point a change came. The student surpassed the master she was great she grasped the basic fundamentals to an extent that even I wasn't able to came up with better strategies I was proud but with that came an ego and extreme ferocity where even simple lag during battle made her scream at you even though it's not your fault.she became a dictator and the guild was her own country at this point my quest buddy became what we both despised so I left and she claimed I wasn't a real friend because I wouldn't take her abuse.

So guys have you seen ego's in your time with rpg's what are your opinions on this behavior share your stories and thoughts here thanks.

It happens pretty a lot not only in games, but also in society we live. Real life is sometimes much harsher you know lol

Everyone has two sides, some choose to hide one of their sides, some take on their worst side, some take on their kindest side and the rest have a side they never knew about. To be honest, we all have a monster inside us, and we never know when it'll come out

There are also people who isolate themselves and make themselves seem like a bad person when really they do it to help others. Not many people get this so i won't be surprised if you don't understand.

 

I've seen my share of players who get a little too emotional or too attached to aspects of the game. Like tbh, Toram is a hobby for me (I literally just posted this in my status @.@) and I will constantly remind myself to not take it too serious. So what, worse case scenario is someone hates me and I get blocked? Okay. My real life will still go on.

If it doesn't pertain to me I usually ignore it. If I started it, and someone says something I don't like, I ignore it. Something about feeding the fire only makes it bigger but if you don't give it oxygen...it goes out.

I mean isolating yourself is fine. It's plenty of different ways to help players I dnt see a problem with that I agree with you 100%

I'm the type of person who "grabs the bull by its horns" so to speak. If you aren't going to ignore it then confront it. But honestly, I speak my opinion once and wether it's taken or not, it isn't under my control. If you stick to your ideals and keep yourself together, then others will respect you for it too.

Say what you need to say then take the high road. Don't ever bring others down because you have different beliefs. At the end of the day this is all just a game and we are still humans on the other end of it all.
