is it possible to have a character that is both an alchemist and a bs at the same time ??
also how hard is it to level up to 40, since they arent fighters?

    Alchemist+Tech bs is totally possible.
sadly a Tech bs can only make low pot gear :)

Alchemists can be refiners & statters at the same time, but not equipment crafters until endgame. To craft weapons you need a different blacksmith with all points in the stat respective to the equipment you want to craft, instead of full TEC as alche/refiner/upgrader. And it isn't hard to get it to 40 if you ask your guildies to power-level you at Nightmare Roars.

Depends on what you want to do with your BS. Do you want to create weapons, or, do you want to add stats to existing weapons and refine them?

Idrk since I've never liked the BS play-style to make spina. Probably @Norcelia can help you with that question.

I just know that as a weapon upgrader (adding stats) you need to be constantly farming small mobs to process materials which can become pretty tedious. As a refiner you risk spina if you fail and that can be sometimes frustrating. As a crafter you need tons of crafts to raise your proficiency level and tons of failures (too much storage space too), it is the longest path of all.

I would make a DEX BS as your first BS. If you do that then you can make Bows, Bowguns, and Swords. It's also the easiest made Blacksmith because Dex already raises difficulty. The second most profitable / expensive to make is a VIT BS.

I own 3 blacksmiths currently and I'm experienced when making em. So I can answer some of your questions on regulars Blacksmiths if you want :3

It's possible to do that, but usually a Dex Blacksmith with have all Dex until it's 255. Then they will probably add in Tech or another stat.
Meaning it usually takes 2 character slots and I rarely see any Hybrids of an Alchemist and Dex Blacksmith.

Sure. You can make a Vit BS first, but I recommend you make it dex then switch it. If you do that then you can make high difficult items and gain prof faster. After you gain enough switch stats using a book or orbs. It's easier. Make your Vit bs all VIT until it hits max stat points, 255. Then go into either Dex or Tech. Dex raising difficulty and Tech raising success rate. ( pretty sure )

Dex just raises difficulty. Difficulty is what lets you make better equipment. The higher the difficulty the more potential you get with higher ATK. ( potential is what allows you to stat equipments. However, it will only raise if you make a equipment based on your stat. So you would only have high potential on Dex Equipements and not Str or Int if you where making a Dex Blacksmith. To confusing?)

Edit: I MESSED UP EXPLAINING. HOLD ON. I'll REPLY BACK LATER...

NO I UNDERSTAND, dex bs seems like the easier option because dex itself raises difficulty. sooo ive made a dex bs :D and maybe later ill use restat book, not sure yet, thanks a lot!

    Was gonna say...

Switching to vit after dex was a better option if you made a vit bs since you raise the difficulty and raises prof level faster. Then once your prof level is 65+ you can switch to vit...

What I said in my previous comment was if you wanted to make a dex bs.
