Noob questions regarding luk mages.

So I wanted to know, whats the use of a luk mage? I mean other than NC farming.
I heard someone say that no matter what luk you have it won't affect the drop rate of xtals since they are counted as "rare items" and they aren't affected by luk.
I also wanted to know what other things are counted as rare items? And what DOES affect xtal drop rate (Iam really desperate to get my hands on atleast ONE).
I got the +50% drop rate thingy today and used my book for another +50% drop rate and farmed MS and Don yeti like there was no Tomorrow.
Well ofc I got ntg drop rate is a lie..

I think boss equipment (armor, weapons, and shields anyway) drops, crystas, and dyes count as the rare items in the game

+x% drop rate from emblems and books is only +x% of the base drop rate
so if something has a base drop rate of 10%, +100% will only add another 10% for a total of 20%

to be fair, if it actually was a fixed 100%, then crystas and stuff would be worthless ._.

 

Mostly for mass mob farming only, not really for bosses as it doesn't increase rare drop and have weaker attack as their stats are placed in luck.

 

I use my luk mage to farm nightmare crystals got two to 130. I also farm Controlled knights for deformed blade sells for 440k+ a stack. Some people use them for bosses like Roga and mino

 

Eventhough i want a luk mage, but its attack is terrible. How will i increase the dps but still have stat points for my luk mage?

 

Simple since you have low int invest in matk xtals for damage and get elemental gear. Helps a lot. What's your int? I was luk 255 int 92.

Do the books like virgo affect the drop rate of xtals? I just read somewhere in an old post that someone had +10% in survival skills and used a travelers gem along with a book of virgo and got an xtal. Does this actually work?

 

That'd be +70% drop rate(?)
Which would only be +.007, for a total of .107/100 for crysta

To my knowledge books are only good for material farming xtals aren't included. They have a different drop rate

Dang people are so much luckier than I am.
So basically the only way to get an xtal is keeping on killing the boss over and over and over for a long time right?
Does full break affect the drop rate for xtal? Is full break even necessary?
I just wanna know if Iam doing anything wrong lol
