OP gears even with high survivability doesn't make u an elite player.

Every event boss battle is not just only depends on ur skills and/or prorate, it's also on your luck. (I'm posting here cuz bored :v)

EDIT: The reason why i said luck is becuz there are a new event but deadly bosses has an killing rate, likely similar to Volgagon on last High Diff Boss event few months ago. If it's rate were mid-low, then it all depends ur luck to survive, otherwise ur easily ded if u're not carefully watching its movements.
Another Edit: Pro tip for those who want to challenge them bosses alone: Use any Invincibility/pdef skill moves that u had to prevent an oncoming death.
Zantei could be also too, but watch out of the more hit attacks.

Well it shouldn't be a surprise to die if you just facetank a boss. Doesn't matter the gear, even tanks use pdef (and their other damage reduction skill whatever the name was) for a reason.

That's why everyone should try to solo to improve their actual playing skills. Gears aren't as prevalent as your understanding of the game mechanic and boss patterns in term of survivability. No bosses are hard enough if you're prepared for them. And nothing is a foolproof either when it comes to your own carelessness, but if you can solo these bosses you have a better chance of not dying as opposed to simply leave it to your fate. Thats why tanks exist to alleviate that burden of not making mistakes, making boss runs easier and in case of the other members dying, they can revive others still, they have more margin of error by focusing on surviving and exchange them with lower damage potential. Just think about it like this, the better playing skill you have the less you're relying on luck. But gears and skill build also matters when it comes to surviving with the example of tanks. But even then tanks might die given enough time when the run is damn too long or the risk factor exceeds the gears limit as the error rate is nor 0% due to human error.

I recently did quasar gemrun playing as a tank and it made me think about some more technical skills as opposed to having high survivability solely from gears and skill build. Even tanks needs a better mobility and a mean of surviving beyond gears setup. And I'm actually pretty bad at it. I'm just good at making my tank beefy and lessen the need of actual playing skill.

 

My favorite strategy, suicide dps v:

 

I found the arm(-30%) and add (-10%) and stack the orb gears(-3%) and play dead. Also my pet have a lvl5 first aid. Im looking for special gears that give more ded redux (or any better gear if you can add)

Planning a "Kukaracha" (cockroach) build lol.

 

First aid lv10 from merc+pet+companion is insta revive even without play dead xD

 

Well, that is the most op gear build im im plann.
"Can't kill me! Me ain't ded!" Plus i plan to annoy sum party mates so im planning only going with the pet. As the saying goes a dead dps is 0 dps, an unkillable char is god. I just plan to get my immortality in a different road. I may be weak af but i can do this all day.(wanna hear them say" just die already!") Lol

 

I only believe on LUCK when it comes to looking for a good party(RANDOM people) and also, knowing boss patterns is not LUCK but a SKILL.

It lessen the risk of dying or not dying at all. This is why a lot of dps die because they are too impatient and just rushing in mindlessly to kill the boss.

They want fast run but it becomes the opposite when they died. lol ironic

you clearly never tanked that boss lmao, one of the ghosts casts absolute stun which Is followed by massive fracs that will kill you. For the most part the age old stand there and take the hit doesn’t apply anymore since more and more bosses have absolute ailments and op fractional damage . Luk never applies to battle, it’s all skill, you mess up you die that’s all that happens. So as it is now a tank needs to avoid as much attacks as possible, which more and more makes me revise how I play and set up my tank builds. So not to crush your “pro tip” but it’s best to learn the boss before giving tips on something that may not work .

where I set the borderline is during the Hell Gespenst event. Where every role should be played properly, support, tanks, dps. 1st phase, ez. 2nd phase, can't span finale or GSW. 3rd phase, ignite and poison at tank, support needed, else support yourself. The following phases need proper positioning, some will already fall on this one due to failed Finale cast. Until the last phase comes in, where your accumulated aggro won't even matter. I've had no success until I played as tank because most tanks won't even take Super Grip to alleviate the knockback.

 

@-@ I can solo all bosses now normal/hard thanks to my 2s+S staff and bow , It would have been impossible to kill them that fast without them , unfortunately I will have to abandon them soon because anniv event will be up soon , I will miss you my dear staff and bow q.q ,

 

Thats why you learn the boss pattern to lessen the "luck" playing factor in your battle

 

I dun like an impatient pro players whose wanted to get an attacker rank and fastest time at all, dats why I quit the pt even with the good teammate. :V
