Q> Does Plate Armor drop in normal difficulty

Ever since the revamp in the difficulty system, Ive been confused as to whether to trust old drop lists or not.
Ive once gotten a red plate armor from flare volg before the difficulty modes patch, and would like to ask if anyone has gotten this armor in normal difficulty after patch?
My problem is it is only written in nightmare mode that there is a colored equipment drop. Is the plate armor the one its referring to?
Does that mean I can only get it in nightmare mode onwards?
Ive been wondering what the 8 normal difficulty drops are. So far Ive seen: fiery gem, flare horn, flare claw, flare flesh, vulcan knuckles, marriage crown, and marriage tiara...Im missing one in the list. Is it the plate armor or flare volg crystal?
Please share with me as Im building a full tank and need this armor. Thank you! (If you also know of a better armor for full tanks which is not crystal and blacksmith dependent, please share it with me. Again, thank you!)

 

Normal is able to drop all original items. Nightmare and ultimate only refers to the weapon dye. Not the plate armor. So yes, you can still get plate armor on normal

Edit: the 8 items are flesh, horn, gem, claw, sword, knuckles, armor, and xtal. The tiara and crown are just event items and wouldn't count towards the types of drops.

Edit x2: xtal doesn't drop on easy. Considering people are able to get the armor from nure on easy, and the fact that 1 item gets knocked off the drop list, it has to be the xtal that isn't included on easy.

 

try plate armor npc version also, I dont think you have to go nightmare for the plate arm, the colored equipment mentioned would be the dyes for weapon. you can still get the arm from normal though its a rare drop even before the difficulty update.

 

You missed the volcanic sword, plate armor and crystal. The marriage items dont count.

I think it also drops on easy but I haven't seen it drop for me yet.

 

I see, thank you very much for the quick replies! It must be just a rare drop? Been farming for days, with over 500 claws and still no armor. Ill keep trying!

 

Np! And same, I've been trying to get the armor but I gave up after a week of farming. Got a lot of spina from selling the xtals and gems though :')

 

The blacksmith version of the armor might be better for tanks since it has more hp and aggro

The dropped version of the armor only has one bright side and that's the ABC dye. They are not that expensive so you can buy it on C.B or by a player.

( NPC Plate Armor is better than Dropped Plate Armor )

 

I was thinking about the 10% motion penalty in the npc version. Is it a big deal?

 

Should not matter for tanks since motion speed is just the animation speed if attacks and skills. Tanks aren't the damage dealers anyway.
