My BS Prof is almost lv.100! Im trying to become a stat smith and my tec is almost 255. My question is once I get it to lv.100 would I still need the tec for statting? Proficiency iirc increases your production successrate which tec also does? So I'd figure if my Prof is high enough id no longer need the tec therefore I could just reset my stats and put the tec I had into Vit for Armor. I can create anything from the list but idk if thats because of the tec or my high proficiency level.

I'd like to be able to make armors and stat them. My actual Smith Character is lv.82 but from what I hear if I want to +12 stat id need to level it to 120. As always thanks in advance! :)

You can not make a craftsmith and a statter on a single char as theres not enough stat points available.
If your prof is already 100 go for 250vit and rest tech for crafting armor with highest potential also prof is not needed for statting.
For statting you need full 255tech char with max lvl (currently 120) to add the highest possible stat.
So my suggestion is reset that char stats to 250vit rest tech to make it a armor crafter (I hope you have all the craft skills at max) and make a seperate new char for statting 255tech

Yes tech and prof both increase success rate depending on the item level of the gear that you are crafting but the low tech wont help you stat them as they will reduce the pot return of nega stat which may reduce the stat success by like 20-30% or even more.

Alrighty thanks for the info! Glad raising my prof was worth it despite not it not helping with statting lol.

Do you know how much Smiths make when they create armors with high pot?

I have seen people selling high pot slotted armigma for 1m+ but that was when it was just released right now their price would be lower.
