Question about Refinement & Upgrade Equipment

Does Blacksmith Proficient affect the above two skills? If it does then in what way?
Im trying to train a Refiner Alchemist, and wonder if I have to lvl up both proficients? (which would be a pain)

I have a refiner/upgrader/alche and other refiner says it bs prof. level doesn't affect refining and adding stat.

 

the profiency level only raises your difficulty level (which determines success rates) and for the alchemist, reaching a prof level of 50 and 100 adds more locks to equipment synthesis.

i think upgrade equipment is affected by skill level only.
refinement success depends on stats like DEX or INT and gains the most benefit from TECH (wich otherwise raises difficulty level).

 

Really? Success rate on refining depends on stat like dex? I thought it depends on tech also :3

 

it does. basically the "difficulty level" is used for almost everything in those skills.
difficulty level is profiency level + multipliers of DEX, INT and TECH.
although TECH has a greater effect than DEX and INT, but those have other uses as well, while TECH does not.

1 difficult level = 2 tech = 6 dex = ? Int?
Can you pls fill in the above number? I saw you talked about Int in other threads too, but never mentioned the actual numbers.
Blacksmith thread doesnt suggest Int neither.

Ok I did a small test
Made 1 new char
Took both Create Equip and Synch Item.
difficult lvl: 0 (0 proficient)
Put 30 int in, difficult lvl: 0.
Put 53 int in, difficult lvl: 0.
There are 2 stat emblem I didnt have so couldnt go to 63. But this should be enough.

Also, dex DO affect difficulty lvl of alchemist, my Dex blacksmith has 96 Dex and 16 Synch difficulty, add in 6 dex = 17 synch difficulty.

 

Only dex, tec and proficiency level can affect difficulty. Vit, Int, Str doesnt affect difficulty. Hope this helps.

 

I dunno pal if Int does really affect difficulty i still havent tested it yet. Can you share your rough estimations, im a bit curious about it. ^_^

nope, only TEC affects refine/upgrade.

 

i don't know the numbers, i just read it somwhere and also noticed that difficulty is higher than profiency, but i have both, DEX and INT.
the japanese site only gives a vague description of this.
since INT had no effect on your blacksmith, i guess it was DEX for smith and INT for alchemist (that would make sense) and TECH works for both.

Did you read my post? I learned BOTH skill trees and added Int, nothing changed (no Create Equipment difficult nor Item Synthesis Difficult) after 53 Int added, or are you saying 55 int = 1 difficult level? that is pretty much non.
DEX increase difficult level of BOTH Create Equipment and Item Synthesis (6 dex = 1 Difficult Level = 2 Tec), I can post screenshots if you like.

once i read in this forum that stated :
every 10 TEC, you can add 1 negative pot for upgrade equipment..
once i tested it with 211 tec. my bs only can add -20 nega.
at lv 77 or 78 with ~218 tec, i can add -21 nega.
at lv 80 with 221 tec, still at -21 nega.
im curious about this. Whether prof also has effect on this.
