Question about refining my 1s staff

Spent a stack of orichalcum and anti deg and i was only able to refine my potum staff to +D.
Am i doing something wrong?
My refine char is currently lvl40+ and my tech is only 190. Would maxing it out make a notable difference?

should i have just refined my NS staff then pierced afterwards. (but apparently i deleted my NS staff cos i thought it wont be of use to me since i had the 1s staff)
How much is 0-1 staff piercer anyway?

there are skills that increase the success rate of refining
also, the success rate is decreased with the number of slots

 

It is recommended to max the Tech stats and skills that increases refine success before attempting to refine higher.

Also you don't need to waste Orichalcum when refining. You only really needed it on +C - +B(+D too but that can be done with a lease expensive ore. Takes longer though)

Success rate does not decrease with more slots only the degradation is increased. Instead of degrading by 1, a 1 slot equipment can now degrade by 2 and a 2 slot can degrade by 3.

 

You're not even max tec. U could try comparing ur explosion boxes (chance of success) to those yt videos doing refine, very obvious. Did some1 mentioned npc smith is 200tec? 255tec and all refine skills max is a must for proper refines.

Yup more slots less success chance. Probably a placebo but i had bad time refining muh 1st and only 2slot. Painful to even reach +7 lol

 

should i go full luck then the whole refining cos 1s degrades more?

yea it;s actually my bad. i was excited after reaching lvl 150 so i kinda rushed it and wasted ores on impulse. will try again later after maxing my stat. ty

Up to +B, Anti Deg is good enough. Sometimes RNG is a B!tch though.

I myself only use Anti Deg starting from +D. Also all my gears are 1 slot when I'm upgrading because I'm excited to use xta and can't afford non-weapon piercers LoL.

Already have 4 items on +B. Still don't have the guts to try for +A though.

 

if i were you, i'll use my BS LUK from C to S, without anti degra and just using minor stone like hematit

 

Does +10% luck skill on survival skill helps in refine?

 

lv 10 Drop? well it will make you item DROP more frequently :v

No, you need both tech and luck. Luck for +A, +S cos technically the success rate at that high value is more or less the same, what you need to worry about is degrade rate lol. And for lower values, you need tech cos luck doesn't increase your sucvess rate
