Range/Close range damage question

    Ok im kinda lazy to test it so i need someone who have it tested before. Answer may be so obvius but i still have my dbouts.
    1. What is considered close range damage in mts? I mean can be from 0 to 3mts or more?
    2. What is considered loong range damage in mts? Same example from 8 to farest?
    3.Does these damages also can affect magic? F. E. There are some xtals and gears that raise range damage so... Does afect magic as well or just physical damage?
