Does light armour's increased attack speed also increase cast speed?
Does heavy armour's decreased attack speed also decrease cast speed?

If cspd is affected, i'll go light. If not, heavy :)

Wasn't it motion speed that they affect?

What's motion speed? You mean the aimations go faster and slower?

    Light Remodelled Effects:
    + Dodge Rate Increases
    + Attack Speed Increases
    - Physical Defence Decreases
    - Magic Defence Decreases

    Heavy Remodelled Effects
    + Physical Defence Increase
    + Magic Defence Increases
    - Dodge Rate Decreases
    - Attack Speed Decreases

It doesn't affect cast speed. Most mages uses a heavy remodeled armor.

I thought motion speed only applied to how fast you move around the map, not your actual attacks...
I've never looked into it, so I could easily be wrong

And these replies popped up as I was typing my own haha.
If that's how it is explained in game, then it only affects your attack speed, not casting speed.

Hmmm if this is the case then i might get heavy.
But if the battle animations are slower, that'd be a big no-no for me.

    Can anyone confirm?

Motion speed is animation speed *how fast your animation plays*
Trigger slash and swift increases this

Yup. Ty. As far as i understand it:

Animation speed affects the time my char takes to moves her arms etc when casting.
Cspd affects the timer bar at the bottom when prepping a spell

Both affect my dps. This is right, right?

the def and speed effects of remodeling are not added/substracted, but they multiply your stats.
light armor is most effective on AGI stats, since they raise attack speed and dodge.
heavy armor is good on VIT for def and INT for mdef, but the speed decrease is noticable.
the defense decrease of light armor is minor if you have low def to begin with.

i use light armor on my mage, because i use daggers and AGI for evasion.
at lv70 my Flee stat is 250 and my attack speed is 1018 (500 from staff), a little more and my motion speed will go up :3

Hmmm. Well i ended up trying both light and heavy. I did notice the difference in both speed and def.

Running from one end of sofya to the other took 0.98 seconds less in light armour (compared to heavy)
I also noticed a difference between in the animation speed, but it was so small it was immeasurable. Maybe i was just imagining it??

Farming green planet heads in light armour and they were hitting me for an average of 362 hp (measured over 50 hits)
In heavy, they were hitting for an average of 347 hp (over 50 hits also)

I have a full int build. Lvl 86. I chose light armour with roga xtal

    Fully equipped: atk 516, matk 1446, def 131, mdef 204, hit 87, flee 133, aspd 807, cspd 1196

    Naked: atk 88, matk 763, def 34, mdef 56, hit 87, flee 206, aspd 1095, cspd 90

Ps. I use daggers too, but only for the +cspd that they offer. Else i'd use shield :p
