Secret of Grand buster lance?

Yesterday, when I was building my new harberd character, I found some interesting things about Grand buster lance.

○First of all, Damage of Grand buster lance is lower than normal buster lance in 6m or closer.

○When I learned Whack, I can't find any '×1.2 damage'. but when I learned Concentration, it worked.

○I also learned Spell burst. and surprisingly, damage increased!

○Btw, only by ATK & Physical pierce can affect the damage of Grand burster lance. not by MATK.

○When I used Grand burster lance to Evil Crystal Beast, Shining Gentleman and any other boss that have high evasion rate, I felt evasion rate of boss was reduced.


I tried, but I can't find the reason why those strange things happen. Anybody have an idea?

 

Tested it and found grand buster lance has magic proration, so ig it explains why spell burst/concentrate affects it. Buster lance itself is physical tho.

btw, someone said that lvl 1 and 10 has same damage. is that true?

 

Buster lance has a penalty for using from longer ranges (>4m). Increasing buster lance level only decreases this penalty. Triggering grand buster lance further decreases this penalty as well.

 

if the grand buster lance already triggered, is the penalty gone even the buster lance still lvl 1?

 

Yeah, through simple test, I also found that Grand burst lance has magic proration. But other physical-magic proration skills, such as Sword Tempest, Spining Slash aren't affect with Spell Burst. So I think Grand Burst Lance has more relevance with magic skill, unlike any other skills.

 

I think that this result is mainly because Punish Ray counts as a "casted" spell. Hence the Spellburst being activated.

 

Either that or just plain and simple bug.

 

That make sense. Maybe, not just add magic proration to buster lance, but the whole mechanism(the way how damage calculated) of Punish Lance moves to Grand Buster Lance.
