SH .... SH everywhere

SH sure is a strong skill .... it is to the point where every build use it, except magic I guess.... but please don't tell me that magic user use SH also LOL

 

well, it can recover mp, i-frame, high damage. but i don't think mage user will gonna use this skill.

 

Yes, indeed it is true, I agree with you... but it also tells us that whatever the build is, SH is always be one of the main DPS.

I saw a knuckle build this morning in Youtube, that in description said that it is a God Hand 240 Build. I was curious to know how to boost the crusher skills with tier 5 knuckle skill. But, in the end, the crusher skills are just a gimmick. And also the tier 5 skills. Of course he/she use God hand & tier 5, but I don't know what's the connection between God's hand with Soul Hunter because he/she use SH as the main DPS. Ah indeed he use Goliath skill, but compared with SH, it is a minor. "So, whatever my build is, don't forget, SH is the main DPS"

I probably miss the pure or authentic build that doesn't include SH. Or maybe I'm the only one that doesn't use SH in DPS Character (except 2H)?

well, most peeps already using SH as Main DPS before T5 skill arrived.

 

it has always been like this.
back in the old days it was Storm and Snipe. people would come up with "creative" and "original" builds, but the only difference was what avatars they were wearing and how pretentious they could be with their names.

 

Yep, most of my knux characters acquired sh when it first came. ^_^

 

It's versatile because of its damage, mp recovery and i-frame so I can't blame them

Though I wish they showcase the main weapon skills more than SH.

 

I make a point to not use it. That along with glitch gimmicks.

Makes the game feel like playing on action replay.

 

Dark lord/lady is a fun class, who wouldn't want to be gods or goddesses of darkness? lol

A skill tree idea, obtained with The Book of Lightness, The Lightness Skill tree has all skills that are practically carbon copies of all skills in the darkness skill tree, and the light version of soul hunter could be called Judgment and is long ranged high damage light element magic skill with invincibility and deals physical proration and gains stack based on hp healed, and the light version of eternal nightmare could be called Neverending Dream and heals the user a little for each second that passes.

 

Basically just let people who like to play as a demon lord/lady have their fun, they just want to play their favorite role as demon/dark gods/goddesses, i mean staying as a mortal all the time can start to get boring after all you know lol

 

Its quite the thing Lucifere said a bit ago, and I have my hand to put on the discussion as well. I know that SH is the most overloaded skill in the game by far and abusing the fact it's overloaded makes sense when nerfing it would make so many people mad. If this were a more competitive-oriented game (disregarding the dismissive community this game has) people would purely play powerful skills like SH. I don't think the skill being this overloaded is as necessary for the game as people say it is, but as I said this game is not competitive. For a mostly PvE game, it's fine since all it is is a skill people find fun. What I don't find as fun is when everyone shoves it down your throat as a requirement.

I choose not to use it, as abusing overloaded skills doesn't actually make me feel like I'm good at the game.

 

I like the fact of variety yeah Dark skills are good but seriously I dont believe its good for game having bloated skills.

 

Really whether or not you like the skill or think it's healthy for the game state is up to your standards. Some people like when games don't fix the broken mechanics and go wild over power-building. Some people like the challenge of a game and not abusing the obviously meta gimmicks. And other people believe overtuned skills are necessary to balance out difficulty. In a game like this where skills can be used on more than just one set of weaponry, it would be a nightmare to achieve perfect balance.

That being said, I don't like SH, personally. I think the skill is unnecessarily overloaded (which means it does too much). I also believe GSW and other skills are overtuned (which means the numbers it gives are too high). The game's bosses are not that hard, the game just ramps up in difficulty more than people are prepared for at times.
