should i build mage tank?

some people build it and it look kind of interesting so I wonder is the build work in reality

I've tried it myself, even with guardian as aggro combo (playing nearly like normal tank), MP charge is risky and need to know when you can use. Also, finale to get aggro is really not recommended since you may take dangerous damage (fracts/spikes).

The best drop for it is def 100crt staff imo. You can normal hit to get ampr and mp charge too.

Edit: Yes, I've seen other mage tanks that work very well.

 

Was lvling with a staff tank on don yeti a few days ago, if most of them are like that poor fellow, id reset that char. Aggro holding skills are trash, lacking on disables and mobility, strange as in all.
On high ground even pure tanks can cry, so i doubt it can take you far (however you can try one for fun)
