Skill Ranges List: How far skills activate!

    This is the list of the max ranges/distances in which offensive skills can be triggered.
    The range of some skills changes depending on the equipped weapon and the skill level, these details are also included.

    Important info about ranges
    Long Range and Short Range damages aren't based on the range of a weapon. In the case of Range Damage % coming from Xtals/Equipment it is based on the range the skill is casted. In case of Range Damage % coming from a passive skill it is based on the max range a skill can damage. For example, Storm can be casted from 8 meters max so it's damage is Long Range Damage. Impact can be casted from as far as it can get, but it will only damage from 3m afar, so Impact's damage is Short Range Damage. A proof of this: Ancient Empress (MATK+4%, Close Range Damage -10%) increases Storm's damage but decreases Impact's.

    Smoke Dust

    - Lv1 ~ 7m with Staff / reduces range to 5m with Bowgun / reduces range to 5m with Bow / 5m with 1h Sword, 2h Sword & DW / 5m with Knuckles / reduces range to 5m with Magic Device
    - Lv2 ~ 8m with Staff / reduces range to 6m with Bowgun / reduces range to 6m with Bow / 6m with 1h Sword, 2h Sword & DW / 6m with Knuckles / returns range to 6m with Magic Device

    I think 2h skills have a range of 3m instead of 2m

    I just checked again and yes they become 3m with 2h, thanks for pointing it fast.

    I'm going to put a link to this in my DPS Mage Guide, if you don't mind. Of course I'm only looking at the Mage-specific information but Power Wave is a good skill for hybrids.

    Hi @Precaria
    Does higher level smash (martial) have more atk range and higher flinch rate? Or it only increase the dmg?

    I'm unsure if it's flinch rate increases while wearing knuckles, but without knuckles it won't increase.
    Range with knuckles is 2 meters and without knuckles is 1 meter, always.
    Damage dealt does increase by skill level, with and without knux.

    Edited: if your using mage range skill.. then no... your wrong!!! Put default,its a hybrid if thats the case...

    Yes, no need to check more. I tested every offensive skill with every weapon at all levels to check all existent variables between skills/weapon/rank and wrote it carefully. However, if after an update someone notices a difference please do point it out. As of this day, the skill ranges are still the same as how they are listed.
