My pet likes to spam his buff until his mp becomes 0, any way to prevent this?

You can turn the skill off if you don't need it.
Or you can get the skill Pet MP charge (long cast time tho), or Mana Recovery from Support Tree (easily cancelled). I'm not sure if chakra and spirited dance gives MP for pets too.

You can test the attack patterns to your liking. Buffs don't affect the potency of the buffs(no bigger heal lol) but you can time it slower the bigger it is.

Give it a try, set it up in the highest and lowest for comparison.

It seems I need to redo my pets, my highest number is only 300 for Sakura Potum and 420(unselectable) for bladefish. Do you know why it says unselectable?

some patterns have restrictions on them and can only be used with certain skill types.

Anyone has a suggestion for which pet to choose? My pet will have resistance and cover as inheritance skills with encourage as 1st skill(If lucky with first aid and circle of heal)

Use gentle pet with only 1 buff skill, so you never run outs of mp v:

All of the skills you list can be used by a GENTLE pet. Making GENTLE pets is somewhat easier than pets based on the other natures, because you don't have to agonize over selecting the pet's weapon, or how your pet is going to get MP, or what the pet app should be. Pretty much any (x/Phys Defense/GENTLE) configuration on any pet app (ignoring the existence of those red Up arrows for buffs on some apps) and that's about it, except for the skills. There are some physical pets (no magic autos) that I like the looks of, but would not use except as GENTLE pets.

You listed two edge skills (Resistance Up and Cover). Fusing two edge skills is always a lot of work, but if you don't worry about the pet's weapon, then in fusing you would only need to worry about retaining the GENTLE nature and preferably PhysDef type. For instance, if your A-line pet carries the ResUp skill and has its two traits corrected to GENTLE and an acceptable VIT type (go for PhysDef :) ) then your B-line pet (carrying the Cover skill) would only need one of those two traits in order to assure that the child/fusion product retained the correct type and nature (and if possible, use x/PhysDef/x in order to get some bonus VIT potential). It is a lot simpler than for a pet that uses AMPR to feed its skills, where you would be weighing fast attack patterns and possibly high ASPD weapons. As you noted, pets tend to spam buffs until their MP pool is empty. If you want your buffs served on a regular basis, then the main choices are AMPR (via auto attacks) or GENTLE. A GENTLE pet can provide roughly 200 MP worth of skills in a 10 second period. A fast pet with a high-ish level Absorb MP skill will very roughly provide same, but at the cost of requiring an edge skill (AMP). A third option for AMPR would be using the JUSTICE nature, but those pets aren't immune to spikes, so......nah.

I'm not pushing, nor advocating, GENTLE pets. I started making more of them for the sole purpose of using physical pet apps, and to evaluate some of the more costly edge support skills. I don't yet have any high cap GENTLE pets, so I can't comment on their battle worthiness.

I'm also thinking about directly use gentle but unlike sly, it only evade few type of AoE so I afraid if its hp will be drained. But if I need to get mp up or mp absorption as the alternative, gentle pet will do :D

About the edge skills, luckily I already had them. Currently I'm lvling my resistance up, right now still only lvl 4.

Can I ask which pet should I choose for their attack pattern? Thinking about using zaman but afraid if his attack patterns aren't suitable for buff pet.
