Skills that have become more effective since revamped Guard/Evasion?

    Blade Skills: Nothing.

    Shot Skills: Nothing.

    Magic Skills: Now you need lv180 to be a good mage (Mirage Evasion), all magic skills benefit immensely from this change allowing even low CSPD mages to use non-instant burst and low MATK mages to finale more easily.

    Martial: Now you can more effectively use chakra buff for the AMPR boost at close range provided you know how to dodge.

    Halberd: Now the motion speed buff from GSW is far less risky due if you know how to dodge. Access to deadly spear as a 1 MP skill even wit charge time and punish ray now less risky to use.

    Dual Swords: Nerfed because auto flash blast has died. buff because now they have a 0 MP AoE.

    Katana: Nothing.

    Any other stuff you all noticed?

    Then just say how they helped you, obviously support tree is one but this isn't a guide or anything like that.

    How does that work?

    I think the blade skills benefit a decent amount from the guard system. For a while, the 2h's survivability felt kinda lackluster since you couldn't equip a sub weapon, and going STR > VIT instead of DEX sacrifices about 20% of your dps (and that's not even including the fact that your attacks will also graze more). Because 2h builds can use berserk, they can equip heavy armor to get extra guard without needing to use ASPD potions. I also feel like a 1h is the best weapon for using guard on a dps build since they can use heavy armor like a 2h in addition to equipping a shield, unlike the other weapons that can use shields like mages and brawlers which need light armor, and bowguns need to have an ele arrow equipped or else their dps will go down the toilet.

    Shot skills also benefit a lot from evade because they can protect crossfire a lot easier, and you don't need to be a bowtana build anymore to solo. Bowtana is still useful though, since your evasion capabilities with a bow are limited, while decoy + zantei typically isn't if you have enough AMPR.

    Unfortunately I tested chakra, and at least while soloing it kinda sucks because you have to maintain the buff and make sure you don't get hit, which slows you down a lot compared to allowing yourself to get hit, but I can imagine it could work well in a party. The real benefit though, is that you can evade like crazy like you used to back in the day when dodge was still useful, but of course you have to do it manually.

    The only class that doesn't really benefit much from this is probably the katana. The devs should have just given the extra 2500 guard ability and recharge to the katana instead of the halberd since halberds are motion speed and evasion oriented anyways, while katanas benefit from heavy armor because tenryu maximizes their attack interval and skills like zantei work better if you have a low dodge rate.

    I agree tho I can see chakra working on non-decoy knux builds tho.

    Otherwise, katana really did get the short end of the stick with this update. They have all those defensive abilities even get hinted towards building defensively in stat recommendation and still HB gets a guard buff, wtf?

    Eh but then again, katana is a counter weapon with a ton of counter skills so that maybe justifies it? Idk how the Devs think and looking at dagger skills, I probably don't wanna know.

    I think they are a good edition. I thought it would be a disaster.

    But...

    I feel they need to remake the shield and dagger trees to have better synergy with the new guard and dagger skills.

    A lot of potential there to provide additional benefits for tanks and sub dps.

    Like, fundamentally survival will improve, but we have an issue with disproportionate damage across weapon types. They should use this as an opportunity to rethink combat overall.

    The whole classless system is a meme to mask the biggest lie of 2015.

    Spam support and tell then to redesign everything. Burn everything down.

    Katana can do ridiculously fast auto attack interval by holding and releasing guard with heavy armor at the right timing, not sure if it's a bug, but if it isn't a bug guard just boosted katana's ampr ability.

    Since it was never answered, Minstrel can actually evade things without interrupting their songs. Helps maintaining mp and makes Wisdom Song much more reliable imo.

    According to Hivan you also need to put guard on the D-Pad and not a short cut.

    he isn't guarding all attacks and the touch circle shows that he's tapping.
    so instead of holding up guard, he just hits the button, which is not long enough to go into guard stance but still enough to randomly do a perfectly timed guard in-between auto-attacks.
    i see no bug there.

    No he has really low aspd. He uses heavy armor in that video and no GSW. Get 50% motion speed and try to do auto attacks that fast

    Chackra can be used to lower the damage you receive from Godspeed wield if, for some reason, you fail to evade an auto attack or AOE. It won't let the negative
    resistance kill you in one shot (It will still hurt your HP bar a LOT tho).
    I'm making a personal build with GSW on my Knux, chackra can be quite useful to protect you from screwing up, but it should be made into an actual buff.. It's a shitty skill tbh, as asshobismo refuses to give Knuckles actual Dps tools and survivability..

    Not gonna lie, I hate the Kairiki>warcry>flashblast>Idk bjillion buffs>Goliath punch meta, It's just boring, and I love the insane speed and risk my build provides, but it is too high risk for so little prize... I'm thinking about reseting it..
    Fun huh, choosing between efficient boreDoom and fun uselessness... That's brawler for you guys..

    It would be nice if the AMPR buff could be its own separate buff that doesn't go away when you git hit.

    Rush and chariot are still really good though, in case you don't like using goliath.

    I don't mind goliath, what I did say I don't like is using one thousand of active buffs just to increase a single skill damage. Like I said, "Warcry>kairiki>Idk what>goliath OP Builds OMG".. just boring gameplay.

    I agree with the chackra AMPR staying, Knuckles have almost no AMPR.
    And, you know something, it's weird how knuckle skills are so slow even knowing the class should be based on high ASPD. I have to rely on GSW and Quick Aura to be really fast.
