Some few question i wanna ask

A friend shown me this game and i had seen him playing, i have some few question
1. For a beginner, do I just go on the main quest until i finish it? Does it have ending? If so what lvl can i reach when finish it?
2. I look up before joining and seeing people advice of making the 1st character a mage (mainly for farming). But, i found that my friend took advice of 50 int and the rest on luk and he's having hard time with bosses without a high lvl friend mercenary(did i spell that right?). So I'm worrying, should i start as a swordman that i wanted or should i start a mage and get it to lv70 and then start my swordman in order to farm quest faster?
3. I heard about customize equipment, and that involve Blacksmith, i'm that kind of person who want to do everything myself, except something that its too hard to be done alone like high lvl boss raids, etc. So i wanna ask if in my situation, should i keep 1 character slot for a blacksmith character? I'm not planning to spend the orbs got from normal gameplay (not by real money) on character slots.
4. Should I care much about equipments at the start? Or should i just use monster drop equipment until i finish the main quest?
5. If I get xtals, should i put it in monster dropped equipments or save it on customized equipments when i get my hand on it?
6. I see almost everyone in the game have their own unique looks, and my friend only stick with his leather armor, so are they players who joined the game for a long time or am I missing something? I read on a post said that "stats before fashion", idk, I just want to atleast be a little bit different, or is this normal for a beginner who still doing main quest?
7. By any chances, can a player send orbs, tickets and avatar costumes to another player? Becuz my friend thinking of quitting and he wanted to give me those.
8. Final question, how's your day going?
P/s: I spent half an hour to list every single question down so hope everyone can help.

 

1. Pfft I haven't finished MQ myself, just defeated ECB :3 I forced my way through with NCs..
2. Yes that was spelled correctly.. And I still suggest having luk mage as first character. You can fight the boss with a party, just leech~ Try to escape/die then come back on easy mode for bosses~
3. Definitely. You need lots of spina/NC farming time for a decent one tho. It won't be easy~ You need at least 1 lv 100 char just for refining And 255 tech for refine~ Well with a full tech character you can stat, refine, and synthesist at the same time so it's worth it~ Good $$$
4. Use whatever is best, just follow someone's build for now..?
5. Depends on the xtals, if it's a normal crystal, just attach it. But you buy xtal extraction services for 200K-250K anyways.
6. I personally don't care about appearance, but since I had some money to spare then why not..? Tho I'd go with stats first. I wouldn't want to look too newb-ish too.
7. Nope~ You can recycle them and see if you can get something good tho.

So, this is like S.A.O abridged(don't know what i'm talking about? Look up on youtube, highly recommended ) that its an rpg where no one is gonna beat every quests?
I see my friend having hard time farming nc so i asked why he didn't join party, he said with the leather armor, he look like a leecher that no one wanted in party, does appearance really that important in people' eyes or is it just my friend worried to much?

 

Well honestly, it's just me lazy to do MQ~ And we are all still waiting for the new MQ to be released~ And leather armor.. Yeah, actually that's a yes.. Honestly you can at least get a killer coat app.. It's not that expensive x_x

 

1.quest untill empress allows you to use nc quest for exp, it makes it easier to lvl your characters but very time comsuming. Yes quest does have an end but it gets updated once in awhile. Without nightmare crystals all exp youd get from just mq and boss/mob killing would get you to lvl70-80. Current lvl cap 125.

2.yes, people do luk mage for faster drops but i do int for more dmg it just depends on your style example i do 200 int and 80 luk for drop. Farm mage is important for mob farming due to storm being able to kill multiple monsters in a area for 6 ticks making it the simplest and fastest kills. Also mage makes mp recharge take only 3 seconds so theyre best for farming.
3.blacksmith is for refining, making armor, hats, rings, and weapons. Synthesis is for potions, appearence change and color dye. Yes stats is most important since itll help you more then appearence, but you can change color and appearce and still use the stat you want. Aka 3-4-5locks.
4.you can use monster equipment if youre broke. But if you have a build you like its best to use recommended equips to increase power, also every class has its ups and down just find where you fit in.
5. Sell xtals you dont need for your char and buy xtals you need. Example if youre a mage you dont need imitator because attk 5% doesnt work on your magic dmg so its just wasting slot due to mage usig magic attk and not attk so if you sell imitator for imiticia magic attk 5% your dmg increases as mage.
6. Everyone has their own taste on how they look its what makes them unique, but even new players can look nice if they farmed enough. Normal boss apps usually go for 100k-800k(knight armor, crystal armor, fortistia, empress mail) but ones that has event app such as swim suit or halloween garbs go for 250k to over a mil but dont worry about it if youre patient because those apps returns once a year. Just focus on lvling for now and dont be afraid to ask for help.
7. You cant send any of them to another player.
8. Im getting lazy.

Don't jump in making a luck mage from the start

It'll bore you before you even get unto real thrill of the game...

Try to follow a build here or try to build your own (whichever you fancy) then look for a guild to either do mq together or use their mercenary as a partner... Lvl your character to 70 via mq... By this time you have already unlocked a free character slot (2 free char slots will be given) use the free character slot to make a luck mage with a storm... Then farm away to your hearts content

 

Btw, what does "app" mean? Appearance? If so how do i make it?

So, as you were saying, old events come back every year? Is that the case? If so, can i some how get those first aniversary equipments that my friend is talking about all the time when he was showing me the game?

 

Let's say you have an adventure garb and killer coat. You want to make the adv garb look like killer coat, so you get a 2-lock service from a trusted person, where you give the person both of the armors, and the person returns an armor with the adv garb's stats, but killer coat's appearance

No, that's 100K lawl, while from players you can get them for free. Though if your item is untradable then I guess it's your only choice. But just get the 1-lock (only choose 1, either app/dye A/dye B/dye C/stats. So you need to gamble if it is untradable, by preparing money to get the app that you want, and only choose the stat of your current armor! It should be 1K/try at the NPC synthesist if I'm not wrong (not including app price).

 

Yea event should come around again in a month or two i heard but not 100% if its in the month or two. Event is once every year though so yes you can get them

 

Oh yeah, I've seen some toram vids on youtube and they have lock on the item, how do i get it? All i wanted its the look of another armor on my current wearing armor (the stats is my current armor and the look is the other one) no care for dyes, in that case, can i just use npc service instead, becuz i dont usually do trades (I got scammed a lot in other games) I have no trusted friend (yet), well, let's make it simple

My answers to your questions:

You can choose to it or not. Most of the places except Empress Tomb are open even without questing. You can get around those areas that are closed by buying teleport feathers on the board. I stopped my mq for awhile to play with builds and new areas.

Personally, I would do a mage with all int as your first or second character to farm. Don't add luck until you have 150 or so int. My farm mage is my level setter since I use her the most.

Yes, I would keep a slot for BS or Alchemist depending on your flavor. A BS that makes equipment is very expensive and time consuming. Requires research to farm for the right mats. Or you can be tech. Research on the class area on forum.

No, not at first. Just get things form monsters or from emblems. Worry about equipment I would say in your 50s or so. Then go crazy finding, making, and researching your mid-level gear.

Depends on xtals. Some you sell and some you keep. I usually keep mine unless there a deep need to sell it. There will always be better xtals released so use them on your best high level gear equipment (except boss xtals don't go crazy adding those since there drop rate is very low).

Most are orb shop bought. Or the new armor sets. You can pickup your first armor sets by grinding boars at n.mountain or by random chance on bosses.

Nope not allowed to. You need to buy them yourself.

2.mage is a good option,if you want to get a party(I am always soloing thing soooo......I became a swordsman)
3.being a blacksmith and alchemist need a ridiculous amount of spina (I am not joking)and it's can became very tiring as well,can I skip the refine and creating thing,I just want to see the results, and there is to much refiner,stater,and item creator that make me feels like it's better if I did this my self,

5.don't hoping to much XTALS only has 00.01%(for me only maybe)to drop,as far as it goes I only able to obtain mini boss xtal and it was miracle potum(what an useless thing)

it gets updated once every 2 months.
and you can't just run through it, each story scene usually leads to a boss fight or a special monster battle, each boss is ~5 levels higher than the previous and there are some bottlenecks where you can't party with others to finish the job for you.
you can play each mission when you have the required level and properly equipped your character.

for your 1st character, pick what you want, not what others tell you to.
after playing some time you get an additional character slot, so you can create a 2nd character and later you will get a 3rd character slot. (more can be bought with orbs)
if you don't like your character, create a new one in another slot and delete the old one.
if you do like it, think about what else you want to play or what your weakness is and what you need, then make the next character according to this.

player crafted equipment is not better than NPC crafted equipment, it is just different.
Refine Equipment is actually more important than crafting, since if you do it yourself it doesn't cost spina and if you are a good smith you can even reach higher quality of refinement.
but raising a character with production skills takes time and effort, so before making one you should be sure that the profession you chose is the right one for you. (there is Blacksmith, Alchemist and Tamer)

the quality of equipment is like this:
monster drop < crafted < boss drop (monster drop is the weakest, boss drop is the strongest)
there are some exceptions and not all items are craftable or dropped by monsters, in general it is like this.
you should always use equipment that matches your chosen play style.
just because a weapon has higher atk doesn't always mean it's better. you also have to consider the other stats on it and if it matches your stats.
refining equipment is also important, as it raises the attack and defence of your equipment.
generally you have to switch to higher level equipment every 30 levels, but may also have multiple weapons or other gears ready if you face an enemy that has an advantage over you. (like if your equipment has a weakness to fire (negative resistance) and you fight monsters with fire attacks, you should change that equipment to something else.)

put them only in equipment that you use and are going to use for some time.
if you know that you you will soon change your equipment, or you have a monster drop but plan to get the craft version of it, wait and put your crystas into the stronger equipment.
once a crysta has been attached, you cannot get it back unless you pay orbs.
(normal crystas from normal monsters (like str+3) are not that rare, so you can use them wherever possible and just get a new one when changing equipment.)

you can use "Synthesize Equipment" to mix 2 items together to get the stats of one thing and the look/dyes of another.
but this will be decided at random, so be careful when using it.
you can "lock" attributes like stats, look or dye to guarantee to get your desired result, but it will cost a lot of spinas.
you can also do it yourself with Alchemy Skills, but just like Blacksmith Skills it takes a lot of effort to do so.

that is not possible, but there is a new system that allows to use special orb items like Crysta Extraction or Piercer (make slots on equipment) on another players equipment.

So far i see that players made equipment unique for each build, so you can get like a focus on critical armor with critical rate, critical damage, critical damage %. When boss drop or monster drop only give you like 1 or 2 out of those 3 and the rest probably just dodge% or accuracy.
Oh one more thing, about the npc synthesist, what was the highest price you've seen so far?
