Spell Burst: Magic Critical

There doesn't seem to be any difference in damage value between normal magic and critical magic attacks from what I've checked of the passive so far (least till those data nerds pump out the actual numbers). The rate of activation is abysmal tho...

Anyone tried it out yet?

 

Makes the magic crit with the chance of (TotalCritRate * (SkillLvl * 0.025))
Cdm works similar to crit with weakness ailment on mobs (100+(cdm-100)/4) and can't go below 100

 

So you basically need a crap ton of critical damage which is why nothing changed even when it crit.

That's lame but I can see it most likely working later as crit damage gear/skills become more prominent.

Also, that rate equation, is it 0.25 or 0.025?

So in this case, you need to put in 4x effort compared to physical.

It works because mages don't have to worry about evasion or miss but still extreme though, not truly worth it right now but will be in the future.

Is the base cdm 150?
With 0 str i can get 1.25 crit damage
100+((150-100)/2)
Is this correct?

Given I have 100 crit and use lvl 10punish ray before my spell.
I will get 50 crit?

 

Corrected its only 112.5 because its 100+((cdm-100)/4) not 100+((cdm-100)/2) x.x

100 crit + 100 crit of punish ray 1h 1st hit, yes its 50 with spell burst

 

So this crappy spell burst is why Finale was nerfed....alright...

 

How do the cr% and cd% stats work?

 

Just the usual, it's the totals is what included in the calculation.

 

So then if you have +15cr, it gets added o the 150 to become 165 then the+15%cr would take effect?

I can see this being practical at high level caps but not now when tried stat allocations are piss poor terrible.

 

Works great with the element slash/weaken method of magic crit. The effects seem to stack so I no longer need ridiculous crit rate for it to be reliable. Plus it gives element slash the chance to crit as well which makes it easier to land weaken on those bosses with high dodge.
